Happy new year ✨
—
I truly feel like each year goes by faster than the last. For a long time, I always ended the year feeling like I hadn’t done enough. But in 2025, something shifted. I don’t know if it’s my frontal lobe finally fully developed at 26 or if I just simply started living for myself.

2025 marked a real turning point in the way I manage my life, my routine and my goals. Of course, not everything was perfect or easy but I no longer see those moments as failures. Now I see them as progress, as necessary steps toward change.

I’m also so grateful I started this account in 2025 and I fully plan to keep creating for you in 2026. I’m incredibly thankful for the kind, patient and supportive girlies I’ve met here 🤍

For real, in today’s world, it can be hard to keep believing, to let yourself be carried by imagination. This account allowed me to escape and reconnect with my inner child. I haven’t read this much in years, nor drawn and filled notebooks the way I did this past year.

In 2025, my routine stopped feeling boring and started feeling intentional, a life where I listen to myself more and find joy in simple things. I bought my apartment, my drawings were published in @ronnie.rune.author ‘s book (what??🥹 the best Christmas gift) and I feel more like myself than ever before.

So let this post be your resolution for 2026: listen to yourself, dare to create, dare to share what you love. Connect and be fully yourself! *Love you all and happy new year!!*

Powerless ⚔️🔮✨ (spoilers)
—
I used my trip to NY as the perfect excuse to finally pick up my kindle and read my first ever book on it! For this special digital read, I decided to slightly postpone my ToG journey and dive into the first book of the Powerless series.

I just finished it, and wow I did not expect that ending or the final plot twist! The way everything flipped in those last chapters had me gasping and sobbing at the same time. I’m such an enemies-to-lovers girlie, but look at me going crazy over lovers-to-enemies again haha!

If you want to giggle, yearn, and cry over a new book boyfriend, Kai is definitely the one. I’ve been wanting to meet Mr. Azer for months, and let me tell you: this man and his silver tongue did not disappoint. He had me blushing behind the screen. And even without much more than touches and words, the chemistry between him and Paedyn? So beautifully developed. I loved everything about them.
Paedyn on her own is the definition of courage and determination. She’s so focused it can be frustrating, but I completely understood and admired her.
As for Kitt, he felt like a background character most of the book but those final chapters? Game changer. I can already tell he’s going to be unbearable in the best way in the next ones (and I do love a good villain hehe) 👏🏼

So glad I finally started this series. I think I’ll keep reading it alongside ToG, since I’m nearing the end of my tandem read…✨
—
What book boyfriend had you kicking your feet and hiding your smile lately? And please, do we all agree: Kai is the definition of ‘written by a woman to ruin women’ haha? I’m obsessed! taken in Bookstagram by @justinpages_

🇬🇧 October Hopefuls 🍂
—
For this month, I’m hoping to finally get through the last book in the Crescent City series “House of Flame and Shadow”. I’ve already started it so hopefully I’ll be able to finish it in the coming weeks!! 👏🏼
I really want also to read the second book in the “Knight and the Moth” duology. The first book was SO good and I’m dying to find out what happens next! (full review of the first book will be coming soon).
And of course I’d love to start the next ACOTAR book as soon as it comes out.

I also have so many cool things planned for October. I’m going to Japan for a week with my sister! It was kind of a last-minute trip and definitely wasn’t planned.
We’ll be visiting Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Fuji. It’s going to be a short trip but I’m so excited!!
—
If you have any recommendations for Japan please don’t hesitate! I’d absolutely love to go to places recommended by you guys 🫶
—
And what books are you planning to read this October?

🇫🇷 mes lectures d’octobre 🍂
—

New month, new books 🌞✨
—
Ok guys the sun setting later and later each day is slowly healing my soul. I cannot wait for spring to finally settle in, but those extra minutes of sunlight? They truly do the trick.

With a new month comes a new little stack of reads for this season. I’m especially excited to dive back into fantasy after starting Red Rising. This is actually my first real science fiction read and I’m so curious to see how I connect with the genre. I’ll definitely share my thoughts as I go.

(I just finished House of Sky and Breath, and my review is on the way hehe. I just need to finish my drawing of Bryce and Hunt before I post it).
—
Wherever you are, I hope you and your families are staying safe. The state of the world feels heavy and uncertain right now, and sometimes it’s hard not to lose hope. When that happens, I think about the heroes in the stories we love, the ones who resist, who fight for better, who believe change is possible.
—
Because in fiction, we always choose the side of the resistance. So let’s choose the same way in this lifetime. 🤍

Valentine’s Day tag & reading update 💌
—
I’m still reading House of Sky and Breath and I’m more than halfway through. I’m honestly obsessed with the political side of it. The tension, the alliances, the secrets… it’s so well done.
Also excuse me but Cormac, Ruhn, Ithan and Tharion becoming besties (hopefully)? I’m living for it!!
And Bryce and Hunt. They have my heart and deserve the world. I can’t wait to see them step fully into their power!!
—
(Thank you so much @bookswithchey and @nicoles_.reads for the tag!! Better later than never haha)

💋 kiss me: a book character you’d like to kiss
None because I’m loyal… but Xaden.

💛 ur sweet: a book that gives you warm fuzzy vibes
Two Twisted Crowns. The dynamic between Ione Hawthorn and Prince Elm had such a unique tension. Even under the card’s influence, their chemistry was EVERYTHING.

🧡 soulmate: a book that was made for you
Gods of Men. I mention this series in every tag and I stand by it. It’s YA but never feels too simple. One of my favorite found families with such well-built characters and a refreshing plot. If you want a cozy fantasy read, I’ll always recommend this one.

💚 besties: a book character you’d be besties with
100% Bryce. One of the most realistic and grounded FMCs in the SJM universe. I connect so deeply with her human side.
And Jude Duarte would also make such a chaotic but iconic best friend in the human world.

💜 be mine: an upcoming release you want asap
We don’t even have a date yet, but obviously… ACOTAR 6.

🤍 I’m yours: a character that has your heart and soul
The Queen of Terrasen, Aelin. Her evolution, her backstory in The Assassin’s Blade, her loyalty and love… she has my heart forever.
(And I just started it, but Darrow from Red Rising already feels like he might become life-changing.)

💙 crazy 4 u: a book series you are obsessed with
Speaking of Aelin… Throne of Glass. I think about this series daily. And “What would Manon Blackbeak do?” lives rent free in my head at least once a week haha!

Sunday mode on ☁️☕️
—
This Sunday was all rain so: I stayed home all day.
The past few weeks have been a bit heavy mentally and honestly, slow mornings and gentle activities have been such a lifesaver for my anxiety.
I always feel a bit lazy on Sundays and end up feeling guilty for not doing enough. But weirdly actually planning a restful day helps (if it’s on my to-do list, my brain accepts it as productive 🙃).

I usually try to anticipate the week a little so I can feel less rushed: prepping outfits, doing some meal prep and planning which day I’ll go to the gym. Sundays are also my favorite day to read in peace and draw as much as I want.
—
As for my reading update: as usual, I started a bit slow, but then I read more than 200 pages in two days… so I guess I’m fully into House of Sky and Breath now haha. After finishing the first book, I really didn’t know where the story would go but I’m loving it. It genuinely feels like being part of an investigation and I’m obsessed with all the new characters.
—
Once I finish, I think I’ll take a little break before jumping into the last Crescent City book and read something different in between.
I’m hesitating between When the Moon Hatched and Heavenly Bodies (both are on my physical TBR), and I’m also very tempted to finally buy Red Rising. Let me know what you think I should pick next!!

I hope you had a beautiful Sunday 🤍 what’s one thing that’s always on your weekend to-do list? I’d love to steal some ideas for my routine 💌 taken in BOOKSTA by @justinpages_

Chapter 27 ✨☁️
—
I’m officially 27 today and for the first time I feel truly at peace with getting older.

I still remember my 25th birthday. I didn’t want to celebrate it at all. I felt the weight of time, of becoming an adult and of everything I thought I should have achieved by then. I was so focused on what was missing, on what I hadn’t done yet, on all the expectations I had placed on myself.
Over the past two years, I’ve realized how easy it is to lose yourself in timelines that aren’t really yours, in expectations that don’t always make sense. Somewhere along the way, I forgot that the life I’m building is meant to feel good, not just look good.
Everything you do can be for the people you love, but mostly it should be for yourself. Every day only happens once. Not as pressure, just as a reminder to be present. To live the good moments fully, to let the hard ones pass and to stop trying to control what hasn’t arrived yet.
The future will come anyway. The years will pass. Growing into adulthood has taught me that I’m allowed to choose softness. To slow down, to dream without rushing, to build a life that feels calm, meaningful and beautiful. A simple life is a luxury and with time, I’ve learned how lucky I am.

So for my 27 chapter, I want to keep my inner child close, take a step back when I need to and keep trusting the timing of my life. Everything will happen when it’s meant to. 🤍

The stories that held me this month ❤️‍🩹
—
With everything going on lately and a stressful start to the year, I’ve really leaned into reading romance as a gentle escape.

I ended up discovering three romances that completely pulled me in. Beautiful stories with realistic characters who were so easy to get attached to (and way too hard to say goodbye to).

I started Heated Rivalry back in December when episode three of the series dropped because, there was no way I was waiting another week. I devoured it, then jumped straight into The Long Game to finish Shane and Ilya’s story.
It is a true love story.
Raw, intense, bigger than them. Following these characters over years and watching their relationship evolve was incredible.
I can’t wait to see season two adapted and to keep watching these two amazing actors grow into their roles. They’ve honestly inspired me so much over the past few weeks.

After that, I picked up People We Meet on Vacation to escape the winter greyness and before watching the adaptation on Netflix. I loved both but of course I had a soft spot for the book, it really has my heart. It’s a friendship first, love second kind of story. I adored Poppy and Alex’s dynamic. It was easy to read, funny, comforting and just exactly what I needed.

January has been all about romance so far and it’s been such a soft way to start the year.

Winter evenings ✨🤍
—
December is finally here, and honestly it might be my favorite time of the year.

My evenings are all about slow moments: journaling, reading, drawing, candles, my fluffy Berber rug, warm cups of tea.

I started Christmas shopping and went to the Christmas market this weekend, so I’m officially deep in the holiday spirit 👏🏼

This month is going to be full in the best way: I’m leaving for Edinburgh on Saturday, moving everything out of my apartment before renovations start in January, and trying to finish the last books on my 2025 list (but with zero pressure).
I’ll also spend a few days in the mountains skiing around New Year. Honestly I’m so excited!!🥹

Midweek reads ☕️🤍
—
This week I’m reading The Princess of Moonlight by @ronnie.rune.author who kindly sent me her English manuscript early so I could get a sneak peek into this future universe.

I worked with Ronnie on the illustrations for her last book and I’m so happy to finally discover her writing!! I’m only ten chapters in but I’m already super intrigued by Nyx and Sapphine’s dynamic and background stories.
To give you a little insight we have diplomatic and arranged marriage, forced proximity, prophecy, demigods, (enemies to lovers?? 🫣)… so basically everything I would enjoy in one story haha.
-“Is there a reason you’re standing so close to my wife?”- HAAA!! I’ll share updates as I go but I already can’t wait to post a full review on it later on!

In parallel, I also started Quicksilver just in time to catch up before Brimstone releases in a few weeks. I didn’t want to miss out again and see all the gorgeous posts without knowing what everyone was talking about 😭 so I basically picked it up to avoid fomo.
So far, it’s giving classic fantasy vibes but I’m curious to see how the story will evolve. I started reading it on my Kindle (in French this time!) and honestly, even if I love English books, I have to admit I read so much faster this way…

And this month’s mood is to take it slow. I’m trying to stop putting pressure on myself. Life’s not that serious right now and I want these last two months of the year to be chill and cozy. No “finish everything before December 31” mindset this year. If I end something on January 1 it’s still OK 🙂‍↕️

House of Earth and blood ✨ a Crescent City novel
—
I finished the first book of Crescent City last weekend and I could not wait to share my thoughts!! I read it surprisingly quickly (for someone who usually takes their time haha) and honestly I did not expect to love it this much. With angels, demons, magic and big city energy: SJM immediately pulled me in.

Bryce Quinlan is half-human, half-fae and she is trying to “survive” after the loss of her best friend. But when new murders shake the city, she ends up partnered with Hunt Athalar, a warrior angel turned government slave. Together they face (their) demons and most importantly they learn to trust each other.

This book is for me 100% about friendship. Before it, I thought I had my heart set on enemies-to-lovers but partners-to-friends-to-lovers was so good!!
Bryce and Hunt complement each other so well, they felt raw, real and just… so human.

(the shower scene…😭)

I honestly went in mostly blind and it made all the twists and surprises even better. I heard there’s an ACOTAR and Crescent City crossover coming so I cannot wait to see where this series goes next.
If you love character-driven stories with mystery, sarcasm and real emotional roller coasters, this is definitely for you!♥️

Have you read it yet? I am so ready to talk about it! Honestly I just want to be besties with Bryce now 🔥 taken in BOOKSTA by @justinpages_

Monday Mindset Reset ☕️
—
It’s already Monday and I kind of miss Sunday!!
A few weeks ago I used to feel completely overwhelmed, everything felt too much. I was putting pressure on myself to always be productive, even on weekends, to constantly check something off a to-do list… and somehow I still felt behind all the time.

After taking a little break from this page (and from life in general 🥲) I slowly started to implement new habits that help me feel more present. I literally took a step back and redefined what was truly necessary and what was just unnecessary pressure. I also changed how I view weekends seeing them more as an opportunity to relax than two poor days to get everything done.

Especially Sundays. I now try to stay away from my phone as much as possible (I even set a timer so I don’t lose the day scrolling) and I’ve learned to accept doing absolutely nothing and not feel guilty about it.

Yesterday was exactly that kind of day. I went for a short run by the sea under the sun, bought myself some flowers, spent the whole afternoon reading in bed in my pyjamas and ended the day drawing. I also finished Crescent City. I can’t wait to share my full review. I honestly adored this first book so much. For anyone who’s scared to start this series, just do it. I didn’t expect to love it that much it was incredible!!
—
Now that autumn is really settling in I think it’s the perfect time to recharge. Everything around us is slowing down, so it’s okay if we do too. 🙂‍↕️
