It's been six months since my life peaked (guess it's all downhill from here!) so here are a few more snaps of life on board to mark the occasion. I'm excited to return once again to the @banffcentre in January to finally pore through my hours of footage and make something sensical out of it. NEW MUSIC ALERT! My new composition for @alarmwillsound and @charl_ttemundy is now on YouTube. Click the link in my bio! This piece is a setting of a chant by Hildegard von Bingen. I am forever thankful to these amazing performers for bringing my piece to life so beautifully. taken in Richardson Auditorium by @justinwrightmusic

I wrote a post about my little photography side quest in the High Arctic in which I captured the full path of the midnight sun with a custom pinhole camera. I'm hoping to write some more behind-the-scenes articles about my more technical works, so let me know what you think! The link to the full article is in my story, or go to justinwright.ca > Writing > The Making of Polar Days

I wrote a song for my friends @beccastevensbsb and @earnestlymooing! It's about trying to recreate our fond memories and learning that it's not quite so easy, and takes a lot of inspiration from my side interest in 60's British medievalist folk music. After scrapping many drafts, I wrote a simple tune with a pretty unusual structure that has just a single ephemeral chorus. We only learned this song in sound check, just a couple hours before the performance, and damn, I am lucky to be able to work with such talented pros! The horizontal video is on my Youtube channel!

Some wonderful memories of the last couple weeks, in no particular order:
Performing newly discovered Byzantine chant that hasn't been heard in 700 years
Convincing my friends to have a big reunion over the weekend
Hosting a sparkling wine tasting in the most beautiful room, before heading to fall formal in our Hogwarts dining hall
Spontaneously joining @sam.woy for his set in NYC, with my love @sarah_g.t along for the ride and reuniting with @kalaisan13
Having my film screened in Dawson City, Yukon
Writing a song for Becca Stevens and performing it with her on viola da gamba
Seeing the St. Matthew Passion performed by the Princeton Chamber Choir
Lucky me for having such wonderful friends and opportunities! by @justinwrightmusic
