Let It Blend \\ Groove 03 September is finally here! This time, I’m blending one of Earth, Wind & Fire’s most iconic tracks with Anita Ward’s biggest hit. For Thai peep like myself, we might know this track from a parody version called “กางเกงลิงลอยฟ้า” in the movie “The Possible” (เก๋า เก๋า) a true time machine back to the golden era of disco, featuring vocals by Joey Boy! Even though it’s not the 21st of September just yet, I wish you all a wonderful month ahead! The Blend: September (Earth, Wind & Fire) ➔ Ring My Bell (Anita Ward) Full mix coming soon!! รอติดตามกันก่อนน้าา!! #letitblend by @justjames.v

คนขี่หลังควาย (riding buffalo) - Nobeardd x JustJames remix (download link in bio) Months in the making, and it’s finally time to drop this! (Just have time for this🤣🤣) We called it “Aster138” project. The idea started with wanting to flip some Thai tracks into house and other genres. Huge shoutout to my brothers @nbeard_tvp and @2bboom_ for bringing to life with me. We tried so many different things before this project, and this is just the beginning. More projects coming soon🔥🔥 These are some vids of our behind the scenes of how we came up with others projects too Full credit to Dao Bandon by @justjames.v

Let It Blend \\ Groove 06 Weekly “Let It Blend” is back! 🤩🤩 Keeping the house vibes going for another round. 2002 vs 1999 house grooves honestly, I love the sound of both eras. Defected Records is probably the label I collect the most simply because their sound is insane. I still remember digging for these two I found it in a box and thinking hmm I should try listening to these. Absolute hidden gem The Blend: Don’t Give Up (Kathy Brown) ➔ Love On Love (Candi Staton) So hyped to share that my vinyl house mixset will be recording at BCR soon! ❤️❤️ Can’t wait to share this set with you all. #LetItBlend by @justjames.v

Let It Blend \\ Groove 05 Back to my house & nu-disco roots 🤩🤩 This time I’m blending tracks from some of my favorite DJs/producers, like Purple Disco Machine and Spiller. I chose these because during the four years I lived in KL, organizers kept booking me for this exact sound. It really showed me where my passion lies, and I’m definitely hoping to produce my own nu-disco track soon! The Blend: Body Funk - Purple Disco Machine ➔ Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) - Spiller I’ve still got plenty more tracks lined up from Defected Records, so stay tuned! 🤩🤩 #LetItBlend #housemusic #vinyl by @justjames.v

On The One & Four: disco funk diaries EP1 This series is all about recommending songs I love under one minute. Some of them might be tracks you already know, while others might be fresh discoveries! To kick things off, we’re diving into a track from the album “Hot Pepper” by The Impossibles. The track I’m highlighting is “Give It Up,” originally by Kool & The Gang in 1969. The Impossibles selected two songs from Kool & The Gang and recorded covers in 1975 while in Gothenburg, Sweden. This album was created during their final European tour before they disbanded. It was mind-blowing to discover that the entire album was recorded in English. It truly shows that Thai artists were capable of making an impact far beyond their home country. There are so many memorable tracks on this album and it took me sometimes to get it. #OnTheOneAndFour #70sFunk #TheImpossibles #ดิอิมพอสซิเบิลส์ #MusicDiscovery by @justjames.v

Let It Blend \\ Groove 04 This time, we started off with a track produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards as we know them as Chic. I’m not a guitar player myself, but I love how Nile came up with that groove, it was insane. Somehow they created that in the 80s unbelievable. Blended with one of the most iconic tracks of all time by the Bee Gees. Fun fact, the track is even used in CPR training, not only because of its BPM but also because the title itself fits the situation. For me personally, I can‘t stop myself from singing every time I listened to this song. The Blend: Don’t Go (Sheila & B. Devotion) ➔ Stayin’ Alive (Bee Gees) Full mix coming soon!! รอติดตามกันก่อนน้าา!! #letitblend by @justjames.v

Let It Blend \\ Groove 02 Blending my favorite 1978 disco track by Chic with the iconic 1983 dance pop anthem like “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. I’m a young man who fell in love with funky bassline. Plus, Nile Rodgers’ guitar line is insane 🔥🔥 The Blend: Le Freak (Chic) ➔ Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) Full mix coming soon!! รอติดตามได้เลย #letitblend by @justjames.v
