I'm interrupting Megacon editing to release a special piece I've been wanting to do for 5 months, and I finally got to create it 2 weeks ago at @bayarearenfest

Special thanks to @justjccosplay for unknowingly volunteering himself the moment he put this on and walked out the door 😂

Wardrobe inspired by Vlad from Dracula Untold and put together by JC. Image inspired by way too many scenes floating around in my head depicting the sacred act of main character aura farming.

I'll get around to posting some behind the scenes for this piece on Patreon once I get through the other 1,500 Megacon photos I have in queue (and yes, it was shot with natural light in the middle of the afternoon - the wonders of post production editing). Back to the grind! by @justjccosplay

Eventually I’ll break into more horror themed cosplays..for now…The Legion will be what gets worn to horror cons🤙.

Excited to be able to publicly say I have been published in the summer issue of @creativecosplaysmag which obviously wouldn’t have happened without the amazing work of my friend and photographer @onenotephotos. Honestly so excited to get ready to get back into cosplay and do some even bigger and better things… like genuinely…I don’t think you guys are ready for what I plan to start cooking up. Is this the goofiest shit you’ll see on my account? Probably not, is it the goofiest thing you’ll see today, only because it’s the end of it. Now all I need is the wig, and of course, laces for the shoes😂. Honestly just getting to do the center piece, which I think is the shoes, is enough for me to not care that I had to buy the rest of it earlier this year, I may still go back and actually make some pieces to replace in the future, but for now it’s enough. The only thing I need to make sure of is that when I do actually cosplay Mystery at cons…I shave accordingly, last I checked he doesn’t have stubble😂. Oh how the mighty fall…honestly seeing this scene for the first time, hell even now, it still gives me chills. It set up an incredible story, an incredible season, and incredible hero. Obviously anyone watched the show knows that as the seasons went on it got less enjoyable…but this scene, these actors…man…something about these two minutes was truly magical. Also, I know it doesn’t take anything away by not having those extra lines from Oliver, but those lines from the promotional clip, it just adds that little something extra. Man, they don’t make hero shows like they used to, or the very least, they don’t hire actors the way they used to. by @justjccosplay

The question I always love to ask when contemplating what makes a good Red Hood story is how the moral of his character work? Is he a son that burdens himself with the weight his father can’t, just another criminal that thinks he is a hero, or could he be a mix of both. I don’t think he is actually any of those things, I think he is a lost son that has his own path, and eventually, he’ll find his way back, however long that takes, is really up to him

The fit is starting to fit😎. Just got done cutting the pants, hemming the cut edges, and sewing the garter clips on, so, definitely learning and practicing new things to get Mystery Saja as accurate as possible🤙. Finally got my greedy little hands on the rest of the shots me and my boy @onenotephotos got at @centralfloridacomiccon this year😂…and damn…I can’t tell you how much I love these shots.

I’d also like to take a moment to just talk about something my man said to me at MegaCon this past weekend, he complimented me for how well I understand the character, the way Jason moves…how he would pose…he said I do a great job embodying the character…but it’s only because of this man that I am able to capture it on camera every time, why we cook with these photos, every time. I have lived a life similar to Jason…those who know my story know why my heart bleeds Red Hood, so I may embody the character, but Paul my brother…you help capture that embodiment, and I not only wanted to share these photos because of how much I love working with you, but also to thank you for helping me and my love for Jason be shared.
