For 30 years, you’ve been my confidante, my partner in crime, my biggest cheerleader, and one of the greatest blessings in my life. We’ve laughed until we cried, cried until we laughed, and somehow managed to make it through every chapter together.
There are very few people who get to have a friendship like ours, and I never take a single day of it for granted. I love you beyond words, Shannon, and I am so thankful that the world got you on this day.

I had an amazing time at the @springsteen show a couple weeks ago with my super sweet friends @raeraebradley @titusnation @kenititus It was lovely to meet @realnilslofgren and experience that show. Three weeks post–spinal fusion 🤍 The last three weeks have stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. Recovery has had some really good days… and some really hard ones. I’ve had moments where I felt strong, and moments where I felt frustrated, exhausted, and completely humbled. Healing is slower than I want it to be, and learning patience with my body has not been easy.
But through every single moment of this, my husband has done everything.

He’s helped me in and out of bed. Helped me shower. Managed medications. Cooked. Cleaned. Picked up the slack in every possible way. Sat with me when I was uncomfortable and crying my eyes out. Encouraged me when I felt discouraged. He hasn’t complained once. Not once.

Being this vulnerable and dependent on someone is not easy…but he has made me feel safe, cared for, and deeply loved through it all. I truly don’t know how I would be getting through this without him.

And to the friends who have come to visit, you’ve brought light into some long days and reminded me of who I am outside of recovery. That has meant more than you know.

Three weeks down. A long road still ahead. Taking it one day at a time 🤍. Officially entering my bionic era 🤣 @totalzackward by @justjen14
