Its almost been a month since you passed and it still feels like a dream. There is not a moment that passes where i don’t miss you mommy. I find solace in knowing I have the absolute best memories with you and none can ever be recalled as bad. The strength that I possess, and the man that I am today and hope to be, is because of you. For so long as a kid i saw you as invincible because of the strength you exuded day in and out. The love as a mother that you gave was limitless, unwavering, and it set the precedence for the kind of parent that I hope to be for your grandson. Your passing was a singular event, but the lack of your physical presence is more than one event. It is infinte… everlasting… And though you are not here physically i know you will always be with us. Those memories we carry, the stories we tell, the laughs, cries and everything in between is how i know that. To year 31……
You ever get home from work and just sit in the car for a brief moment?
In that moment without even knowing it..
It becomes a true reflection of what happened that day.
This day the reflective moment was used to think back on the year.
Year 31 …
The most testing of all my years on this Earth.
To you year 31 I am elated
For it brings me joy to see you go but it also brings that same joy to have even endured a year as such.
A year that was just as daunting for others as it was for myself.
I leave you knowing that I am more…
Resilient, hopeful, conscious so to speak.

To become a master at any skill it really does take your mind heart and soul working together in tandem. A harmony of sorts... I’m not quite there yet..... but each day I hope to make the most of it. We have nothing but time on our hands these days so let’s use this time to improve on a passion, skill, or hobby. I’ve got a long way to go but, I have decided to improve my current passion... photography. It just so happens that my beautiful wife has become the best practice for me and it just so happens to be Wednesday. #wcw So I leave this gem here to share a piece of my journey to enhance this passion of mine; to share that I am getting better and yet there’s still so much improving to do. Never be complacent in your own development.
