Been meaning to post this for awhile but such is life. April with the incredible @rechallmusic boys. 1/2 of the month was supporting @themossband (also incredible) & the second 1/2 of the month was Rec Hall’s first headliner. Extremely proud of these guys. They deserve the world as well as your ears! Keep an eye out because they’re going to be one of the biggest bands in the world. Ok love you bye ✌🏻 by @justjoefox

Some beautiful moments in Australia with the @grandson crew - May 2026. My sleeping schedule is still quite fucked atm but this is life baby! Had an absolute blast down unda 🤙🏼 A big thank you to @jakewalker.wav for being the best road partner, to the band for always being the tightest & consistently putting the stank on my face & @photographyserena for the photos & viiiiiibes (she’s epic) 🫶🏻 Anyways, enjoy! taken in Australia by @justjoefox

It’s hard to believe Pastime has already been out for a month!

The verses in this song hold a super special place in my heart, as they reference three specific times in my life where I felt that I’d found some peace through purpose.

The first of these was a several month period during covid when I was taking the drive from LI to Astoria once or twice a week to record music for the first time with my brother, @justjoefox . At the time, I was awaiting orders to start OCS and had been spending a lot of those lonely covid nights faced with my own mortality. Those evenings of existential dread drove a desire within me to create something that I could leave behind. Something for my family to go to if something had happened to me. Something that could live on if I could not.

In that process, a couple of things happened. One, I rediscovered my love for performing that I hadn’t felt in years. Two, it provided a space of vulnerability for Joey and I to reconnect and better understand each other after several years of strain that weighed on our relationship.

As challenging as that time was I wouldn’t give those days and nights in the “studio” up for anything.

Huge thank you to the folks over at @apricot.mag for writing such a beautiful review of my latest release, Cut Loose.

Check out the full review at the link in my bio to get a peak behind the curtain of what inspired the writing of the song and how we brought this track to life.
