‘78 xlch

All wrapped up and ready for a good time. I Got this one in April. It was ugly, had some wacky work done to it, and in need of the treatment. A good budget build. Consisting of mostly parts I had “in stock” on the shelf, a few hand made components, and some key pieces from friends. Everything completely gone through (minus the bottom end and tranny). A one kick ironhead, crazy fun to ride, super nimble, and I can’t get enough…

‘95 xlch-evo

What started out as a quick clean up of a neglected sporty sitting around the shop turned into this build.

Tired of the same old same old, me too… So I started tossing around this idea and bouncing ideas off friends, and this is what I cooked up . Something different, simple, but took some head scratching/figuring to make it all work. I enjoyed this build.

‘95 evo sporty 883 engine (1275 hammer topend kit). In a ‘73 ironhead frame with all ironhead parts I could make fit/work. Fxr dual disc 35mm front end. 4 piston rear Harley caliper mated to the ironhead swingarm. And a Bunch of other little custom touches here and there while trying to keep a stockish aesthetic . If you don’t got love for sportsters, that’s a shame, this bike rips.

We met in this shop — your mom hired me to print shirts and place orders. The screen setup was tucked into the back corner, where I worked while listening to your playlists. The quick pop-ins for a chat turned into us eating lunch together, and then into “wanna grab a beer on the way home Friday?”

We’ve laughed, cried, built, torn down, shared drinks, solved problems, said good morning, locked up, wished each other good night, and watched the sun set here. And then, surrounded by all of those memories on Dec. 5th, I said yes to you — right here in this shop.

We’ve been choosing each other for nine years, and I can’t wait to keep saying yes to us for the rest of our lives. ❤️ by @justkeepintabs
