When I reflect on what it’s been like being a mother for the past 12 years, the word that comes to mind most is grace. Grace through the sleepless nights, the growing pains, the sacrifices, the lessons, and the love. Motherhood has stretched me, softened me, strengthened me, and shaped me into the woman I am today. The Lord will always receive the glory, no matter what I face. Even in the moments that feel heavy, confusing, or painful, His hand is still at work. What felt like a falling out with a family member was truly a divine interruption—God protecting my peace and realigning my path. What seemed like another failed relationship is really a step closer to the kingdom marriage meant for me.Nothing I’ve gone through has been wasted. Every lesson, every closed door, every tear has purpose. God is refining me, strengthening me, and teaching me to trust Him more deeply. I may not always understand it in the moment, but I know He is intentional and His plans for me are good.So I choose to stand in faith, not feelings. I choose to give Him praise before the breakthrough, not just after. Life lately has been challenging in ways I didn’t fully expect. It feels like I’m in a constant cycle of unlearning and relearning—grappling with things I should have been taught, and now trying to understand them for myself. There’s a weight to that, but also a quiet strength growing in me through it.What I’m learning, I’m not holding onto—I’m pouring it right back out. As soon as I begin to understand something, I teach it. I give it to my children in real time, even while I’m still growing. There’s something humbling about that… knowing I don’t have it all figured out, but choosing to lead anyway.I grew up in a church-going household, but not in the kind of environment where we fasted together, prayed deeply together, or studied the Word as a family. I didn’t grow up being woken out of my sleep by the sound of my parents or grandparents praying over the house. And now, I realize—that’s the life I want to create. That’s the atmosphere I want my children to know as normal.So I’m building it. From scratch. From faith. From intention.And if I’m honest… it’s scary.Change is uncomfortable. It stretches me in ways I’m not always ready for. There’s fear in doing something different, in stepping into a role I’ve never fully seen modeled. But deep down, I know it’s necessary. This is bigger than me—it’s about what I’m planting, what I’m breaking, and what I’m choosing to pass down.I may not have had the blueprint, but I’m becoming one.And even in the fear, I’m trusting that God is guiding me every step of the way. #capcut by @justlia
