I have been after this shirt since I was 8 years old…

The design. The colours. The nameset. The simplicity. The collar. The patches.
But more than anything…

The moment in this shirt.

A UCL semi final second leg away to the best team in world football at the time,

against a prime Messi…

Going from 1-0 up on aggregate to 2-1 down with 10 men…

The iconic Ramires chip would’ve sealed the place in the final but the 91st minute goal from substitute Torres guaranteed it.

£50 million repayed with that goal.

Arguably his best moment in a Chelsea shirt.

Creating one of the best commentary moments of all time…

So I thought I would mark the special addition to my collection by having some proper photos taken wearing it.

This was on my holy grail list ever since I started collecting and I’m buzzing to finally now tick it off that list ✅

This is one of my top 2 football shirts of all time and let me explain why…

This is an authentic Chelsea ‘11/12 home shirt with the final details from the UCL final in Munich. Just the design alone is enough to make it a grail, but there’s more that comes with this shirt for me.

This was one of the first impactful memories I have of being a football fan and more importantly a Chelsea fan…

I was 8 when Chelsea played this final and I was just starting to understand football but what I didn’t understand…was how important this final was for Chelsea and what had happened a few years prior (2008🫣)

I idolised Drogba before this final and if anything, what happened in this match cemented him as my all time favourite player.

I once dreamed of owning this shirt, thinking that it was pretty much impossible to get. I now have a couple of them but each time I wear it, it instantly brings back the feelings I had as an 8 year old getting thrown up in the air hitting the ceiling when that penalty went in (that actually happened btw…)

That’s why this is my 2nd and arguably my joint 1st all time holy grail shirt. The only one of this pedigree for me is the 11/12 Real Madrid home… if you know, you know!

This isn’t just a shirt in the collection to me. It is and forever will be a special shirt with special moments captured with it.
