💕🎂👻 One of the sweetest privileges of being a grandma is getting to create a little magic for your own grandbaby! 👻🎂💕

I had the absolute joy of making my granddaughter’s birthday cake topper this year, complete with little magic 8-ball🎱💗 Getting to use my love of creating to make something special just for her makes my heart so happy.

And then there’s the little ghost… 👻🧡 She has been begging me to make her a pet ghost, so how could I possibly say no?! Of course, Grammy had to make her wish come true — and this little cutie even glows in the dark! 💚✨

These are the moments that make what I do so special. I get to create with my hands, but the memories and love behind each little creation are what truly make them priceless.

🌧️🙏 Feeling incredibly grateful today that the worst of hurricane Isaias stayed west of me. It’s still a dreary, rainy day here, and the storm has certainly made its presence known, but I’m thankful to have been spared the worst of it.

Sometimes you’re reminded that the little things we take for granted—feeling safe at home, having a roof over our heads, and watching the rain from a cozy spot inside—are actually the big things. ❤️

My heart goes out to everyone who has been impacted more severely by this storm. Praying for everyone’s safety and for calmer skies ahead. 🕊️

At 11:12, my dad passed from this world. 💔

I wasn’t there when he took his last breath, and that absence is a pain I don’t know how to name. I keep returning to that moment in my mind—wishing I had been there, wishing I could have held his hand one more time, wishing I could have heard his voice once more.

I will never hear my dad say my name again.
I will never feel his hand in mine.
I will never have one more hug.
And the finality of that is something my heart still cannot understand.

I am shattered.

The last few years have taken so much from me, and now it has taken my dad too. I am weary from saying goodbye to the people I love.

But tonight, I am holding on to one tender thought…

Papa is with nana again. ❤️

After all these years apart, they are together once more. I hope she was there waiting for him. I hope she reached for his hand and welcomed him home.

I wish I could have been there to hold his hand myself. To tell him how lucky I am that he was my dad and how very much I love him.

I’m sorry I wasn’t, papa.

I hope, somehow, you knew how deeply I loved you. I hope you know I still do—and that I always will.

Give mom a hug for me and tell her how very much I miss her.

And if love can travel beyond this life, if the people we’ve lost can still feel us somehow, I hope you can feel me tonight.

So I won’t say goodbye—
I’ll carry you with me in every memory, every quiet moment, and every piece of love you left behind. Until we meet again…
