Oakland based hardcore band SUNBLIND just recently dropped a new album titled "The Undertow" and from the moment I pressed play on bandcamp I knew I was going to love every bit of this. Fast drumming , great bass levels , shouting vocals, strong riffs and good production that doesn't take away from the raw energy of the band itself. Damn bro. When all the levels are great in hardcore music, there is nothing better.
The energy on this album is infectious. There is not one time during the entire listen that I didnt feel compelled to jump or two step. In fact, there are a few songs on this track list (Broken Dreams, The Undertow + Terminate) where I could literally visualize an entire on stage performance filled with pacing wall to wall , throwing fists , jumping off of the stage and much more.
The pacing of this record is also really good because the crammed 8 tunes into a nearly 17 minute run time, letting the longer tracks play out and letting the quick ones just explode and kick ass. Having never heard this band before i was impressed. I gotta give this shit a solid A by @justplainfilthy666

England based Deathcore band GRIEF RITUAL just released a new single called "Abyssal Condition" featuring Austin of HEAVY HITTER and this is what i feel most modern deathcore fans can get down with. Dark vibes, heavy tones, aggressive vocals and great build ups. This was dope! by @justplainfilthy666

So as we are now in the spooky halloween season , first horror themed episode i gotta ask...
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE B - RATED HORROR FILM?
.
.
.
[For those who do not know, By definition a B - rated horror film is a lower budget campier style horror movie, usually with fresher actors and not big names. They were designed to accompany the bigger folks in double features (hence the A movie & the B movie)] by @justplainfilthy666

Texas based metalcore band HOUSES WE DIE IN (still love that reference) just released a new single titled "As Angels Fall" and as far as modern metalcore goes, this is some of the best that i've heard.
Right from the start the guitars had me hooked. The sound and riffs that was pumped out paired with an elite level rhythm section of extremely clean drumming and bass that made that shit pop perfectly. Vocally this had the most complimentary tone to be thrown over the instrumental helping amp everything up without taking the focus away from anything. If this band doesn't get some hype from this release then society as a whole has goofed big time.
"As Angels Fall" is a must listen to track if you're a fan of bands like Drop Dead Gorgeous, Haste The Day and in this song particularly After The Burial.
The 5 minute run time felt like 3 and I enjoyed it whole damn time. This band is special.
Track gets an A+ from me. by @justplainfilthy666
