This may be the beginning of the end for Clemson and Dabo.

I don’t foresee forgiveness for the ass beating in week 1 and you certainly cannot lose to the Tar Heels in week 3 that would immediately make Clemson dead in the water, unable to compete for an ACC title let alone a playoff position.

You can’t anticipate a true freshman QB to compete the same way veteran QBs are in the transfer portal. Clemson hasn’t used all of their available resources to optimize for NIL and the portal at some point a call needs to be made and this game may be a catalyst for the expedited judgement. Tar Heels (+3) and u43.5 as Chapel Bill grinds the game to a stand still winning outright 20-17.

It’s exactly what Clemson deserves and as I stare around the ACC I wonder if they even deserve an automatic bid at all. SMU, Louisville, UVA, Virginia Tech, even Syracuse all have a shot of playing and beating Miami for the ACC title. This may be the time for coach Swinney to exit before it gets particularly pathetic.
