Five weeks after ACL surgery, I wasn’t sure what this trip would look like.

It looked like glaciers, whales, sea otters, misty mountains… and a reminder that sometimes the hardest journeys end up becoming the most memorable ones.

Alaska, thank you. 💙 #alaska #virginvoyages #glaciar #travel #wanderlust by @justsarit

Current status:

* Haven’t showered since Tuesday because my orthopedic brace currently has the waterproof capabilities of a paper towel
* Wearing the same nightgown like a Victorian woman with consumption
* Descended one stair with a walker to perform emergency Purple Shield surgery after discovering spider mites
* Directed tactical Neem oil deployment from the garage while Maayan hyperventilated
* Had to deescalate a full bee-related panic attack because apparently pollinators are now apex predators
* Meanwhile the bees were literally just minding their business on the limequat flowers
* Thermal printer situation still unresolved
* Asked for help with a BPC157 injection and was met with “ABSOLUTELY NOT 😱”
* The ONLY joy witnessed in this household today was Maayan electrocuting a fly mid-air with the bug zapper and then re-zapping its dead body on the floor just to hear the sound again

Anyway. Knee injuries are humbling. by @justsarit

Dear Matt, you always had so much joy inside, and shared it with everyone you knew. So much kindness you gave it away to everyone you met. You loved God, you loved dance, hiking, and your beautiful dog who you trained so well. This earth needed you in it many more years, and your untimely death hurts so many of us. I pray for your family and loved ones to find peace while you're on that beautiful hike in heaven. I miss you so much ❤️ by @justsarit
