OC Summer drawing and it’s my beloved Tokubetsuna Mono! Well… real ones will know that it’s a redraw from 2024 which was a redraw from 2023 (last slides!)
Didn’t redraw in 2025 because I thought I didn’t improve too much, but honestly even if only a little bit compared to 2023-2024; I improved! And that makes me so happy.

Each of my characters are valuable to me and really helped me grow as a person and artist, so it always makes me happy when I finish a piece with more than one of them… or in this case with all 8 of the main team! They’re all fairly different and each have their own flaws, yet they care a lot and try to bring the best to the world. I love them

Holy fish I looked at the last time I posted the redraw (2024) and why did it have 167 likes… woah I am proud of past me hehe

I really hope that in every future year you guys will support me and my stories. Whenever I feel down or like it’s useless to continue working so hard for Ordinary I read through messages or comments I got (which I screenshoted and put in a folder😎) to remind myself that my passion is not gone just because my time or motivation is less. Yes I have big dreams; I still want Ordinary to be a game. I still want animations and multiple endings, a long game, a big world, and all that! And no matter how difficult it is, I will not give up on it

Mimi was someone who always preferred to be in the back, not noticed and spotted. Being average at everything was the perfect addition to that role, this way she can easily blend in. But exactly that turned out to make her middle school time extremely difficult. Nobody wanted to be friends with someone like that.

And then she met Mina and realized that there is more than what she had been doing these past years. She was sure that her life would be nothing more than this. Oh how wrong she was. She is so much more. And you all saw that and voted to trust her, making her have a 84,58% innocent vote!

And I love her too!! Mimi is one of the least drawn characters of mine which is funny because let’s remember that she is the reason this account is called justthe’mimi’!!! But it fits her perfectly

The orphanage had a lot of children like this one; one who didn’t have a name or a family and was assigned random dates and names to make up for their lack of existence. It’s unknown how or why this happened, but it’s not an uncommon theory to think ability owners and shadows have something to do with it. Despite that you all choose to trust Mina, bringing her to an innocent rank with 57,14%.

Anyway Halloween drawing number 1; Mina!! I really like this drawing and together with the song it matches her a lot. It’s meant to showcase how she was raised and how she felt like there is no need to change anything or even try anything since it’ll just full circle back to fate. That was until she met the one girl who understood her. Scarlett and Mina are so dear to me, I really want more of them but they sadly only had that one very long conversation and then Scarlett vanished 😔

Also Instagram, please be nice to this drawing even if it’s a horizontal one, I love it regardless of the likes but I know that the quality will suck ahhhh

I had this planned for so long but didn’t know who would do the ‘guess who I am you guys’ and then just now when I looked at Tomori and was like “jackpot” so I got to work😎

Would’ve loved to give them high quality eyes like Mina but phew, their headshots are only sketches so let’s use eyes I used some other time instead!!

“Ahhhh I don’t know… maybe we could just play games?”

I missed them man… even if I can’t pick if they’re the bestest friends ever or massive girlfriends man I hate to mix-match ship my OC’s with everyone because holy fish do some characters have CHEMISTRY RAHHHH

Anyway! 18th September is Mimi’s birthday, I was late but meh, happens! And I finished this drawing in one day so that’s kind of impressive.. even though I really need to do more background studies to get better at shading and coloring them. Issue with only knowing to draw backgrounds from school is that I wasn’t taught how to color or shade it since it was a design school mainly preparing you to be a architect or web designer or something grrr

But I still like this💪🏻 this is the full room of them, it’s not big (and most of the space is the couch - table - TV construction) but they don’t spend a lot of time there anyway, so what’s the point 😎

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Yes I’m late but it’s done 💪🏻 it’s also less smooth than the years before because I didn’t want the video to be that much of a focus, which is ironic I know, but it has a reason.

The scenes without the headset are meant to match me more and the others my persona who is basically my idol self, but still has that deep negative connection to me of when I first made her.
Each scene is meant to match my persona or me. As example the heart scene is meant to represent how I sometimes feel like I don’t really deserve the attention and love I receive (up here as example) while the pen scene represents how no matter how badly I feel, I can paint happiness into my life.

Also the bidding your time scene has art and text since those two are despite everything my main passions! Of course I stream and cosplay every now and then, but nothing brings me more joy than writing and drawing all those ideas and emotions.

So yeah, it’s time to draw the next birthday piece which was due uhhh 3 days ago? Let’s do this!

Mina but her purple dye ran out and she lost all her star hairclips!!
Joke aside 2023-2024 I had an ongoing meme about Mina looking like an NPC when she doesn’t have either of her things… wanted to include more drawings but I don’t have more of her on my laptop Pftt

Also think that Tomori and his glasses might match more, but I start shivering when I draw him without glasses… he can’t see…

I do not like the drawing itself, but Yasako fairly adorable and pretty so I am not complaining! And, despite not being able to see her face, it’s the first drawing of him with his duo; Yukine!!

This collab was so well thought out and I love how every person has a unique drawing while still giving the feeling of the characters being in one school / class!! Thank you so much for hosting, really missed doing OC collabs honestly 🤨 have the feeling I barely joined / got into any this year… but might just be my feeling and I actually was in many, don’t know!

SECOND AND MAYBE LAST SUMMER ARTWORK!! Did not like the sketch for the 3rd summer artwork but maybe I’ll finish it anyway… BUT FOR NOW ITS AMBER AND MINA IN THEIR SUMMER OUTFITS AS A PASWG INTRO SCENE!! Last slide for the inspiration because holy fish do I LOVE the poses… overall the animation are way too good for the fact it’s meant to be a joke anime

And oh my god did I struggle with the poses, the anatomy was way too exaggerated and I really suck at anatomy 70% of times but I was able to do it and bam! Not the best work but it’s summer + interaction art and I really needed more of that hehe

The heat has been absurd these past days, but it’ll get better now… yes yes yes

Summer! Hiro and Omaru!! Summer Himaru!!! WAIT NO LEGIT SOMMER ART?!
YEAH!!! I really want to use other outfits than just defaults so I thought ‘why not make summer art for a few duos’ and boom bam Omaru & Hiro were the first since I had this sketch done since last year… it’s kind of funny since they’re the one duo you do not see in summer wear until arc 4 where they also only wear it for one day if I’m not mistaken… Ordinary starts in July and ends in August next year, Omaru joined Tokubetsu in October and Hiro in November, so there wasn’t really time for them to pull out their summer outfits… hm depending on how much effort I can put into the game you might be able to pick their outfits but probably not since making that game in the first place will be a huge challenge 😎

However what was also a huge challenge was creating a background so it’s bad but that’s not the focus anyway; MY TWO BABIES ARE!! And oh my god did I do well on their rendering, I literally love this drawing so much I wish I didn’t butcher the background RAHHH LOOK AT THEM THEYRE SO ADORABLE AND PRETTY!!!
Omaru wears his second signature color (green) in almost every outfit except his default, so it felt a bit odd to draw him in green again but hey! It is one of the two colors of his. Which reminds me that Hiro’s signature color (neon blue) does not appear in any of their outfits, but their second signature color (brown) appears in almost every outfit… I think it’s in every outfit except Christmas where they wear red? But hmm… really need to finish that outfit ref sheet because I seem insane!!!

The more I draw these birthday pieces the more I think I get better at shading backgrounds and making characters interact with it 😎

Swipe for a sketch!! I had it laying around so I shaded it a bit to make the situation more clean and why not put it in here as a for Amber’s birthday being the 3rd July yet I never finish it… But hey Amber and Omaru art because I really gotta draw my OC’s together!!! GO MIMI

Oh and is that… Sonnenwende by @reology_ that Amber is watching? 😳 YEAH!! I originally wanted YouTube with music open but the idea of Sonnenwende running there just didn’t leave me so I asked Reo and the Orange allowed it! Picked a frame in which you can easily tell. You don’t know it? Then look at it on YouTube! It’s a one man animation featuring the story of their OC’s. It’s made with such love and passion and I can’t wait to see what else there is in the future. Hehe Reo when we both finish our projects we should do a collab in which the characters meet and there is special merch and all heheheheh imagine!!!
