Hiiii! After taking most of last year off IG, I thought I would take a minute to reintroduce myself.

My name is Justyn 🤍

I'm a travel blogger, scuba diver and big book lover. Last year I started taking underwater photos and videos... and it's completely changed how I see the world.

If I could, I'd probably be diving every day, but of course, diving isn't cheap, which is why I've got my freelance career that lets me keep doing it.

But more than any of this, I'm an immigrant, and watching what's happening back in the States has been so incredibly hard.

@riversidethaicooking is THE cooking class you need to book when you’re in Thailand (📍Khao Lak)

We cooked:

spring rolls (banana-choco and veggie)
papaya salad (my choice!)
khao soi
thai green curry
thai red curry

These were the dishes that we chose, but chef Apple has a list of over 20 recipes to choose from. While each person is responsible for their dish, we all pitch in to help and learn from each other.

And the best part is sharing all of the food at the end.

1000% could not recommend a better activity than this 🇹🇭

Everything I wish I knew before renting a scooter in SE Asia 🛵

Renting a scooter is honestly essentials in some parts of Southeast Asia, but it comes with some hard-learned lessons. From always checking the bike before you leave the shop, to trusting yourself on sketchy roads, these are the tips I wish someone had told me sooner.

And yes, always wear a helmet. That my friends, is a non-negotiable.

If you’re hearded to Bali or Thailand, you can find a scooter rental with Bikago.

Hiiii I'm Justyn 🤗

Originally from a small town in the States (Utah originally), I've been traveling the world for over 10 years now 😱

This whole adventure started when I took a gap year from nursing school to backpack in Europe. I can't believe what an adventure that year started.

I wasn't going to do this trend because I thought my background wasn't interesting enough 😅 but this was fun to make and I finally did a count of all the countries I've been too.

The best cooking class in Thailand 🇹🇭

📍Riverside Thai Cooking with Chef Apple 👩🏽‍🍳 🍏

This class includes pick up at your hotel, shopping at the local market for your ingredients and everyone in the group gets to pick the dish they want to cook (she had over 20 dishes to choose from!)

It includes pickup at your hotel, shopping for ingredients at the local market and everyone in the group gets to pick the dish they want to cook! Not only do you cook everything from scratch (including making your own curry paste) but Apple takes the time to teach you how all of the ingredients work together to make your favorite dishes.

You all cook and eat together, quickly becoming friends with everyone there.

We ended up trying six different dishes and each of us left so full. 🤍

Apple also sends out an email with all of the recipes you made so you can recreate them at home.

I can’t believe it took me so long to finally do a Thai cooking class. It was such an amazing experience, I 100% recommend it.

This class is based in Khao Lak, which means it's the perfect add-on for your liveaboard trip 😉

pov: you’re a passenger princess all over Southeast Asia 🛵

We recently spent several weeks exploring Khao Lak in Thailand, and if you’ve never heard of it, it’s the main jumping-off point for Similan and Surin Island liveaboards.

When we came last year, we stayed only for the liveaboard, but this time we decided to stick around and actually see what Khao Lak had to offer.

Beyond the incredible diving, Khao Lak is home to beautiful beaches, tons of waterfalls, delicious food, and a lot of history.

But to explore Khao Lak, you are going to need a scooter—everything is spread out along one main road.

During our stay, @bikago.bikerental was kind enough to gift us a scooter rental, and they honestly made the whole experience so easy. Bikago is Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle and scooter rental company, with locations across Thailand and Indonesia.

They make scooter rentals way easier: no hefty deposits, and no handing over your passport to random rental shops on the side of the road (iykyk 😅).

They’ll conveniently drop the scooter off at your hotel the day you arrive, so your exploring can start right away.

After two weeks riding around Khao Lak with Bikago, I can definitely say they’re an amazing choice for scooter rentals in Southeast Asia. Make sure to check them out for your next adventure.

New favorite place unlocked 🤍

Last time we visited Koh Lipe, Stonehenge was already closed for the season, and this was probably the number one reason that I wanted to come back this year.

Honestly, I really wanted to dive Stonehenge. And I am so glad we did. The soft corals and incredible colors of this dive site were unbelievable. I feel so lucky to have been able to see it.

What can I say? Some divers wanna go deep. Some divers wanna explore caves or wrecks. I would like to spend hours exploring a shallow coral reef that's full of life.

We saw seahorses, Pikachu nudibranches, stonefish and so, so much more.

I hope we get to come back and dive again in the future.

Also, did you see the stone structure at the end? That's what gives this dive site its name. I didn't get too many videos, but I did get photos which I'll share soon 🤙🏻
