💜 Not all scars are visible.

Sometimes the deepest wounds are the ones no one sees.

The slow erosion of confidence. The isolation. The silence. The control disguised as love. The moment you look in the mirror and quietly ask yourself, Where did I go?

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this is a conversation we cannot afford to stop having.

When I wrote Beyond the Fireworks, I wanted to explore the realities of abuse beyond what the world sees. The emotional manipulation. The betrayal. The complicated ways a woman can lose pieces of herself while trying to hold everything else together.

Because abuse doesn’t always begin with a raised hand. Sometimes it begins with a love that slowly asks you to become smaller.

And leaving isn’t always the end of the story. Sometimes, it’s where the hardest work begins.

Finding your voice again. Rebuilding your confidence. Remembering the woman you were before the world convinced you to forget her.

That’s the heart of Beyond the Fireworks.

A story about survival, yes. But also about identity, resilience, and the courage it takes to return to yourself.

To every woman who has ever questioned her worth, silenced her voice, or wondered whether she would ever recognize herself again…

You are still in there. And your story isn’t over. 💜

Through Beyond the Fireworks, I hope to give voice to stories too often hidden behind closed doors and remind women that their identity is never beyond reclaiming.

That one time in Bali… 🌺

I went looking for rest, beauty, and a little space to breathe. What I found was something deeper.

Bali gave me permission to slow down. To listen. To reflect on where I’ve been, who I’ve become, and what I want the next chapter of my life to feel like.

There were quiet mornings, sacred spaces, flowers tucked into my hair, moments of gratitude…and somewhere in between all of it, new words started finding me.

I even began writing my next book. ✍🏽✨

Maybe that’s the gift of getting away sometimes. You think you’re changing your scenery, and somewhere along the way, your perspective changes too.

I came home with memories, inspiration, and a little more clarity about what’s next.
