In a time where AI is becoming increasingly prevalent, it’s been incredibly rewarding to work with an artist like @juuku_, who so perfectly embodies the heart and soul of human-made art.

Every detail of his new ‘for us’ EP came from his vision. He wrote the entire story, created the characters himself, and then spent six months working alongside an animator to bring it all to life. And on top of that, he of course wrote and produced the entire EP as well. The juuku project always had anime in mind from the very beginning, and seeing that vision finally realized has been something truly special.

This is one of the most impressive audiovisual projects I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of. Don’t just listen to the EP, experience it in full by watching the accompanying anime on our YouTube channel.

it’s been a week since lmk came out <3
one of my dreams of creating an anime has finally came true and even after 7 days everything feels unreal

here’s a behind the scenes look at the storyboarding for making the anime - the whole process took about 7-8 months from creating the 6 part storyline (this is technically episode 4), designing the characters, and having my animator (phuncal) and his team bring it to life with some storyboard sketches then fleshing everything out.

fun fact: the main character’s family was actually inspired from mines irl (rip brooklyn)

ilysm and thank you for watching and listening

one of the biggest reasons i wanted to start this juuku project in the first place was to have an anime be a part of the entire experience -
but i never had the means to make it a reality.

i kept telling myself next year it’ll happen,
and as the years went by,
it never did.
i was crushed.

fast forward years later, after a lot of soul searching and hard work,
i finally am able to make it happen-
the reason i started juuku in the first place.

my very first single along with its own anime 🥹

this year was crazy

had the most listeners ive ever had on spotify
finally played mainstage at a music festival
made an ep and even created a whole anime for one of my songs

did a couple side quests too- singing lessons and basketball because i sucked lol

at times i felt lost as juuku this year
but i realized that also meant i was finding myself again
which is the whole reason i started

this journeys continues,
and i appreciate every one of you for sticking along ✦ by @juuku_
