Senior undergrad, final installation project
“Cantus; in memory of”
.
A faux room is set up in the nature of a disheveled bed, playing the performance of “I’ll end up just like him”. This piece further explores my grief and the people I’ve lost during the last two years. Four figures lay on a duvet sheet, negative space encapsulating the silhouettes. A dream like haze is surrounding the negative space, illuminated by a familiar warm light. Disposition alludes to idea of force recognition and healing, revealing a non-linear timeline. 2D nature allows the viewer to visually pair the feeling of exhuming, in particular to mental attribute. by @juun9.99

Performance installation 2026
This piece explores my personal relationship with the death of a friend, and the stagnate nature it imprints on the personal psyche. Ice dyed and wrapped act as the hollow vessel of the person who once used to occupy my life. Heaters force bleed the figure, manipulating properties through time and excursion. The culmination leads to an effect of permanent staining, reminiscent of the stains left on life. by @juun9.99

“Born to bred”
Multi-media installation experience exploring the idea of perspective and the relationship between the body and mind.
•
In this piece I wanted to dissect that idea of perspective; The idea that I’ve had a sexual lense placed on me since before I’ve known what sex was. Projectors are placed upon the wall with a concrete analogous shape placed in the middle. Sexual disorentiened movements line the video as the same clothes that are trapped in the concrete get ripped off the body. This piece depicts a very dark point of my life and how I’ve carried these moments through my mind and through my body. The mind is bending in every which way, restless and easily formidable. The body remains cold and silent, not moving not breathing. by @juun9.99

“Prostata”
5ftx6in pillar with muslin scraps, steel plates, steel wiring, barbed wire, silk shantung, and slip clay.
.
Prostata is the Latin word for prostate. As I make this piece I thought of my father who is currently dying from prostate cancer. This piece shows contradiction in the soft and hard materials used, displaying a complex view of emotions. While my father dies, he’s slowly killed himself being a clinical narcissist. The soft seeming structure; only revealed to be cold and shell like to the touch. Barbed wire line the final box, showing cancer through a physical medium. It protects the egos shell from further elemental damages. by @juun9.99

From Columbias school of fashion exhibit on the fashion archive that I collaborated and helped curate for back in December. It was a pleasure working with Dr Lauren Peter’s on this exhibit to help showcase the value in processing and archiving clothing shown through a different respective perspectives.
