Brought her to F1 The Exhibition Singapore for a photoshoot. Ended up getting a full race briefing instead 🏎️

She actually follows F1. Like, properly. Every zone we walked into, she had something to say — which car, which season, why that one looks the way it does. I understood maybe a third of it. So I stopped directing and just let her talk, and kept shooting.

Turns out that's where the good frames were. Halfway through a sentence, completely forgot the camera was there.

Laid the set out like a race, 18 laps from the entry doors to the legends wall. Lap 14 is my favourite. Those red light bars did all the work.

Singapore Grand Prix weekend always has this buzz in the air. If you didn't get a grandstand seat, this is a pretty good way to get close to it.

Same cream suit, no change, from St Andrew's Cathedral to the National Gallery — just one road between them, and somehow two completely different moods.

The cathedral side is all Gothic spires and stained glass, white enough it almost glows under the sun. Cross the road and the Gallery is Roman columns and checkerboard tile, grey and a lot quieter about itself.

Bought an iced americano somewhere in between. Found a green glass window at a staircase landing where the light came in at exactly the right angle and just stood there a few seconds before actually taking the shot.

Went back through the photos after and the ones that held up best weren't the posed ones — the one flipping through the cathedral brochure, eyes somewhere else entirely, ended up being my favorite of the whole set.

By the time I got back to the cathedral steps for the last few frames, I'd stopped adjusting my collar before every shot — which is probably the only real accomplishment of the day.

Started shooting at Haji Lane at 7:30am, before a single shop had its shutters up.

Kampong Glam completely empty isn't something most people get to see. No tourists crowding the mural walls, no queue for the corner everyone photographs — just thirty-two shuttered shophouses and a street that was, for about ninety minutes, basically hers.

Packed up at 9 right as the first gate started rolling open. Perfect timing, or just lucky.

Two outfit changes at Duo Galleria and probably 200 photos against the same honeycomb wall.

Black dress first because the wood tones did something to it. Switched to jeans halfway because heels for that long gets old fast.

Half of these happened because I kept getting told to stop smiling and just... exist instead. Turns out that works better anyway.

Spent my whole Saturday afternoon alone at %Arabica on Haji Lane and honestly, it fixed something in me.

No plans. No one to talk to. Just a latte with a heart drawn into the foam and a table by the window that happened to be free.

Watched the street do its thing for a while. Let the wind wreck my hair and didn't bother fixing it. Stayed way longer than one coffee usually buys you.

Used to think sitting alone in public looked sad. Turns out it's just quiet, and quiet is underrated.
