Feel like getting creative for a cause? Oh, do we have the event for you and your friends!

To honor those battling breast cancer, the Zeta women of the Sigma Tau chapter have themed our event around spreading awareness through creativity. Bring your own denim piece of clothing, whether it’s jeans, a hat, or shorts to the Snicker’s lounge. We gotcha covered with materials to paint within the pink ribbon theme. See you October 8th💙🤍🩷🎗️

This week, we took a stand against hazing and promoted a culture rooted in respect, accountability, brotherhood, sisterhood, and genuine belonging.

NPHC had the amazing opportunity to hear from Lianne Kowiak, who courageously shared her story and the devastating loss of her son to hazing. Also our NPHC community tabled, shared anti-hazing infographics, and invited students to sign their commitment to saying NO to hazing.

Hazing is not a tradition. It is not a requirement for belonging. And it is never worth a life.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, signed the pledge, asked questions, and joined us in taking a stand. Real connection does not require harm.

Thank you to those who came by the table this afternoon! Your participation in spreading awareness about suicide prevention is why we have these events. Everybody loves positive change, and these are steps in the right direction to erase the stigmas surrounding mental health topics.

Shout out to the Student Counseling Center for providing us resources on campus to share with JU students. This tabling event wouldn’t be the same without their help and active interest in providing help any way they can.

See you at the next event!🤍💙

Sigma Tau wishes to bring the conversation of suicide prevention awareness to JU’s campus. It is important to understand how stress can impact one’s mental wellness, especially if there is no explicit support given. We want to bridge the gap between college students and accessible mental health resources with this initiative. Come stop by the table and let’s talk about spreading awareness about suicide prevention week together!
