Thank you so much @festivaldesantipodes for screening not only one of my films, but all of my four features, this year, COMA. It takes a very special person to do this and that is Bernard Bories. The collection of hand selected Australian and New Zealand gems is of utmost artistic quality and the atmosphere is out of this world. Thank you for supporting art across the globe Bernard, grateful for all the opportunities. by @jwatsonk

We are proud to announce that COMA, the Filmonik Melbourne and Saara Lamberg co-produced feature will have it's international premiere in St Tropez, France, this October.

The prestigious film festival Recontres Internationales Du Cinéma Des Antipodes: "Saara Lamberg's astonishing, ironic, and sensitive new film Coma -- puts us in the shoes of a person in a coma who hears everything but can't respond."

The festival, now on it's 26th year, is held at the Le Star Cinema, right next to the Museum of the Gendarmerie and Cinema, where you can follow Louis de Funès in The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez, swim with the sublime Romy Schneider in The Swimming Pool, or dance furiously with Brigitte Bardot in And God Created Woman. And did you know that Brigitte Bardot, now at 90, still lives in St Tropez?

Saara Lamberg and the leading actor Janet Watson Kruse will be guests at the festival helmed by the film aficionado Bernard Bories.

COMA also stars the French Clio Leonard, French-Canadian Olivier Bonenfant and Iphigenie Frey, Glyn Francis, Bernard Peasley, Mark Tregonning, David Farrington, Andrew Cullimore and was edited by John Couper-Smartt. Thank you executive producer Colin Donald and translator Helene Dunlop, co-writer Anthony Thorne and everyone else involved in the production.

COMA was made with participants of Filmonik Melbourne Kino Kabaret, which brings people together to make films in a fiercely non-competitive environment.

Festival is yet to announce the full line-up and we are grateful to be included in the first selections:
