At the @nyknicks preseason game with my mom tonight, and I couldn’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. Growing up, things weren’t always easy. There were struggles, sacrifices, and moments when we didn’t know how things would work out. But somehow, we always found a way. ❤️

Sitting here next to my mom at @thegarden means so much more than basketball. I remember when experiences like this weren’t even something we could dream about. Now, being able to take my mom to a Knicks game, enjoy the moment, and see her smile is a blessing I will never take for granted.

Life has a funny way of bringing things full circle. As a kid, you don’t always understand the sacrifices your parents make. As you get older, you realize just how much they carried so you could have a chance at something better. Tonight isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about making memories with the woman who helped me become who I am today. We didn’t have much growing up, but looking at us now, I realize we’ve always been rich in the things that matter most. 🧡💙🙏🏽

Hanging on for dear life, trying to get back in shape. 😂💪🏽

Getting older has taught me that fitness isn’t just about looking good. It’s about feeling good, staying healthy, and being able to enjoy the life I’ve worked so hard to build.

Some days are harder than others, but I’m learning that progress doesn’t require perfection. It just requires showing up, even when you don’t feel like it.

I remember being so worried about my daughter starting college. Not because I doubted her ability to succeed academically, but because I wanted her to find her people. The kind of friends who make unfamiliar places feel like home, who celebrate your victories, stand beside you through difficult moments, and remind you that you never have to navigate life alone.

I think one of the most beautiful parts of life is finding people you genuinely connect with. We spend so much of our lives searching for belonging, sometimes in places where we were never meant to fit. And eventually, you meet people who appreciate you for exactly who you are. No pretending, no trying to impress anyone, just genuine connections.

Watching my daughter build those friendships reminds me that, as parents, we can’t walk every road with our children. Sometimes we have to trust that the world will introduce them to people who will love them, challenge them, and help them grow.

And when you find your people, everything just feels a little easier. The laughter comes naturally, the memories happen without planning, and somewhere along the way, strangers become family.

When it works, it just works. ❤️

Sometimes nursing school feels a lot like juggling.

Classes. Clinicals. Exams. Work. Family. Life.

Some days you’ll feel like you have everything under control. Other days, you might drop an apple or two. That doesn’t mean you’re failing.

To every nursing student trying to keep everything in the air: give yourself grace, stay focused on what matters most, and keep going. You don’t have to juggle perfectly to become an incredible nurse. 🍎🩺

While apple picking with my family, I ran into this incredible human and his husband. Almost three years ago, I had the privilege of caring for his dad during what would become some of his final days. I still remember playing garbage-can basketball, laughing together, and talking about the future.

Seeing him now with his beautiful husband, hearing about one sister’s engagement, another sister’s marriage, and knowing their mom has had the chance to witness it all touched me deeply. Life kept moving, the family kept growing, and love kept finding its way forward. I can only imagine their dad smiling down, proud of all that has happened since.

That family helped shape the kind of nurse I wanted to become. They taught me that when we care for someone in their final days, we are stepping into a family’s story at one of its most vulnerable moments. As healthcare providers, we should always lead with good in our hearts, because there are real people on the other side of what we do, and the way we make them feel can stay with them for years. ❤️🩺

As a student, I remember how discouraging it felt to believe that some faculty didn’t truly care whether we passed or failed. Nursing school was already challenging enough, and sometimes what we needed most was simply someone who believed in us, supported us, and reminded us that we were capable.

Now, as an instructor, I try to create the kind of learning environment I wish I had—one where every student feels supported, respected, and safe enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Teaching isn’t just about helping students pass. It’s about helping them believe they belong here. 💙🩺

A nervous patient sat in the waiting room reading a book. I asked him about it, and we talked for a few minutes. Before his procedure, I reassured him that we would take good care of him and that everything was going to be okay.

Later, he came back and gave me the book he had been reading—a book he loved.

Moments like this remind me that patients may not always remember your name, but they will remember how you made them feel.

Sometimes the smallest conversation can make the biggest difference. 🩺💙
