Tyson is the first born son of the first born son. The first born son of the first born daughter. The first born grandson on both sides & the first born nephew to his aunts & uncles.

You don’t get any more “oldest” than that.

And, in all the ways an oldest needs to be, Tyson is. He is extraordinarily patient yet uncompromising on his beliefs. Tyson carry’s a quiet confidence and speaks his mind and opinions with conviction. He’s not afraid to go first. He steps into challenges and decides with little friction. He is adaptable to almost anything until he’s not. He thinks things through.
And, he is genuine & truly loves his family & his friends.

Tyson has been around for legitimately 99% of my adult life and 99.9% of our marriage. He has rode the waves with us through it all. Wild to think back and see that the Lord knew, in HIS perfect timing, exactly when Tyson needed to arrive, and I am eternally grateful for it!!

Twenty years is a long time but the blink of an eye at the same time. For some reason this birthday feels bigger than the others…

Moses.
Mos knows Jesus. He is a defender. He’s a pace setter. He stands tall. He stands tough. He’s got tons of personality. He’s a lover in the honest kind of way. Mos is direct & a straight shooter. A dream builder. He’s an executor and a get the job done kind of guy. He’s a smart thinker. He’s a competitor. He’s a self reflector. He’s a motivator and has no problem challenging people to do more and do better. Mos is accountable. He’s a student of the game. He sees the game in the game and learns to play it well. He is strategic. He is friendly. Mos doesn’t waste time. He’s a fisherman. He chases fun & friends. He’s a thrill seeker. He’s a family lover. Mos is a road paver and a problem solver. He knows when to go full throttle and when to brake. Moses has investigated and debated and found Truth. He’s a socratic thinker. He asks the best questions and finds the root cause. Moses is a winner. And, Moses is EIGHTEEN!

In all my life I could have never imagined what JOY it would bring to see this sweet child go from a 7lb 2oz bundle into the straight up MAN he is today! We are blessed to have him and always grateful to God for the gift that he is in our lives!
