Pop,

this is the hardest goodbye I’ve ever had to face. and i don’t think I’ll ever be sure how to navigate the rest of my life without you here with me.

you weren’t just my grandfather — you were my best friend, my safe place, my constant, and one of, if not, the greatest love of my life. nothing could have prepared me for a world without you in it.

you were the person i told everything to — all of my secrets, my worries, my dreams. you listened without judgment and loved without conditions. with you, I never had to explain myself. you just got me. you made me feel seen, understood, and accepted exactly as I am, and that is a gift i will carry with me forever.

some of my favorite memories are the simplest ones like eating rice pudding on the kitchen floor, talking about your Vegas Casino trips, eating McDonalds Hot Cakes after a sleepover or your facial expressions that said everything without a word. and no matter how hard a day was, you always found a way to make it lighter just by being there.

i don’t know how I’m supposed to get used to our house without you. i don’t know how to sit in the silence where your voice used to be, not hear you call me “Brat” again, or feel you shove packs and packs of Mentos into my pockets like it was our own little secret. those moments may seem small to others, but to me they were everything. they were love in its purest form.

after we lost Grandma and you came to live with us, the last few years have become one of the greatest joys of my life. getting to see you every day, talk, laugh, sit together, and simply exist in the same space was something i didn’t know i needed so badly. you didn’t just live in our house — you filled it with warmth, joy, and life.

you had a way of lighting up every room you entered. your stories, your humor, your laugh brought us all together. you made everyone feel welcomed and cared for, and your presence alone was magnetic.

i will carry you in the lessons you taught me, the laughter we shared, and the unconditional love you gave every single day. you will always be with me in my heart, my memories, and everything I do.

i love you more 6, 7, 8, 9.

today we said goodbye to Blitzzy boy🪽

you’ve been more than a pet, you’ve been family.
for 12 years, you filled our home with the best cuddles, your energetic personality, and unconditional love. from your constant begging for our food, excited tail wags to your soft, knowing eyes, you gave us comfort on hard days and made the good ones even better.

you never asked for much, maybe a treat…or three, ice cream, all kinds of human food, a warm spot to nap, and most importantly our company. you gave us everything in return: loyalty, friendship, and memories we’ll hold onto forever.

it’s hard to say goodbye, but we know your paws have left prints on our hearts that will never fade. thank you for every walk, every cuddle, every moment of unconditional love. go say hi to Bijou for us!
