Life lately with Billy. September 2026

Tomorrow is Billy's 1st echocardiogram. It is required prior to establishing a treatment plan for his heart murmur. Shoutout to @chewyvetcare for finding his Stage III heart murmur after his veterinarian of TEN years (Lewisville Animal Hospital) never found nor notified me of any issue.

I am hoping and praying it goes smoothly and his heart murmur is found to be treatable. Dying of heart failure was NEVER something I wanted for my dog. 😭 I keep trying to figure out what I did or what I could've done. 🥺 I feel sorry for the stress he has of regularly coughing after drinking water... 🙁

Five years ago, I switched him off of the mass produced dry kibble to homemade or dehydrated @honestkitchen dog food. Then with all his health issues, had to switch to expensive RX food. Now I am trying to find a happy medium with fresh food again. It has been an exhausting year (details in his GoFundMe).

I did a preauthorization with his pet insurance and because I changed his @fetchpetinsurance plan this year, they are ONLY covering pancreatitis treatment and emergencies, nothing else. Billy's kidney issues and heart murmur tests, labs and treatment (medication or specialty food) is all out of pocket.
If you're interested in helping defray the cost, find his link in my bio or pinned post. by @jyang.valiant

Mini adventure in 101° from turtles 🐢 to rainbows 🌈 by @jyang.valiant

We came home from my weekly visit with my parents. I was changing into more comfortable clothes and hear Billy come in. I look over... and see this. Billy is napping in his bed as he waits for me to finish. 🥰
