Yesterday I had great opportunity to work as a tour guide at moshi town with a global team from @mercedesbenz to show them a good place around the moshi where they can get a good view of mountain KILIMANJARO and took some photos for their new MERCEDES-BENZ 2026 series, I thank you to God for that opportunity, I’ll never stop praying and trust jah bless 🙏🏾 #adventurelife taken in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania by @k.aristides

What a great tour, what a great country, what a great culture! I arrived in Johannesburg on 9th August, and on Monday the 10th I had a fantastic bike tour with @microadventuretours around the streets of Johannesburg. The tour, which includes Jozi graffiti and history, is really amazing and blew my mind. The culture and the people are unforgettable.

I strongly recommend @microadventuretours to everyone. These guys are the best at everything. If you’re looking for the best travel company to host you in South Africa, just contact them — they are the absolute best (five stars)!

Special thanks to Mama Mpume @setyourselffree777 and my Big brother Phila Nyandu for the warm welcome and for coordinating everything. Without you, this would not have been possible.

Since I arrived here in South Africa, I have learned so many things. I have been visiting different places, including restaurants and everywhere else. Wherever I go, I introduce myself as coming from Tanzania, and people welcome me with joy, love, and genuine warmth.

Kilimanjaro food

If you don’t make up the lion’s share of those calories, you may sap your energy, feel more sluggish and have a tougher time reaching the summit. The trail becomes increasingly difficult and energy intensive late in the trek, too. You’ll need your strength (and a lot of food) to get through those parts.

We often tell guests it’s not the straightforward physical challenge that keeps many climbers from conquering Kilimanjaro. It’s the effect altitude has on the body.
Low appetite, nausea, fatigue, dizziness and headaches are the common, and usually mild, effects of acute mountain sickness (AMS). Not eating well can make these symptoms more severe, though. The European Journal of Nutrition published a study concluding that “reduced energy intake after rapid ascent to high altitude is associated with AMS severity.”
All that being said, it’s very important to eat a lot on Kilimanjaro despite not having much appetite. That’s why we serve great food.
