Why not us?
For a week I have tossed and turned trying to understand but I don’t think I ever will. I still haven’t found the right words to say. The way we went out this season is something I will think about for the rest of my life. It was such a familiar pain but this time it hit me harder than it ever has before. This team is something special. We proved not just surrounding areas, but the whole state wrong this year. It is so hard to grasp the fact that I will not play a high school fast pitch game ever again. This team put so much work in this summer and then it only went up from there. But man I wouldn’t want to have finished it with any other team. The tears, sweat, the memories, the laughs. It is all going to be a memory one day but it is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. As a senior, I pray everyday that I made a positive impact on not only my teammates but my coaches and even the community. I hope I am someone that inspired you girls and gave you a passion for the game that will never go away. These past 4 years I have been surrounded by so many great people and I am so blessed. God has moved in so many amazing ways throughout this program and it is such blessing. I want to thank my coaches for giving me the confidence that helped get me where I am today. I also want to thank Indian Nation for following us and supporting us through everything. For my future, I can’t wait to take everything I learned at Pocola and use it to play on the next level. I walk away from this season with nothing but positive things to say. This season was truly something special. STAYING H🌀ME
I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Tulsa to play D1 college softball!

I want to start by thanking ALL of my coaches that have helped me get to this point. HUGE thank you to Coach Scotty Smith!! I also want to thank Coach Strimple, Coach Smart, Coach Dreswick, and Coach Paige for welcoming me into their program with open arms. I also want to thank my biggest supporters, my family. From the time I hit my first ball off of the tee, you guys have believed in me. That little girl’s dream would not have came true without the love, support, and push you guys have had for me. I also want to thank my friends and teammates for being by my side through this journey! My biggest thanks goes out to THE MAN ABOVE. Oh how good he is. God’s timing is beautiful. walking into the state tournament is a feeling not many are able to say they experienced. the cheering. all the noisemakers. getting prepared for your game. it’s all a feeling that you can’t explain to a regular person. when you are standing on the field everything goes silent, and God takes your hands and gives you the strength to push through any situation that is thrown at you. as a junior, I have experienced more than some athletes will in a lifetime and that is truly a blessing. i am more than grateful for being able to play with this group of girls and under this coaching staff. this year we used John 3:30 as our verse this year. “He must become greater; I must become less.” no matter the situation, don’t try to do more than God has given you the ability to do. it is truly a blessing to even be given the ability to play this game. something about this year was different. unforgettable is what some would say, and i would agree. proud is an understatement.
