My heart is so full after this weekend serving with Lighthouse Family Retreat!

Going into this retreat, I knew I was there to serve, but I don’t think I fully realized how much God would use this experience to work in my own heart. This weekend was such a beautiful reminder that serving the Lord doesn’t always mean being at the forefront. Sometimes it looks like working behind the scenes, doing the little things that may go unnoticed, and simply being willing to show up wherever you’re needed.

I was reminded that no act of service is too small when it is done for God’s glory. Whether it was helping prepare meals, cleaning up, or simply creating a space where families could rest and experience the love of Jesus, every task had a purpose. Even the moments that seemed ordinary were opportunities to reflect His love.

I’m so grateful for the families we had the privilege of serving, the relationships built, and the incredible people I got to serve alongside. This weekend reminded me that we don’t have to be seen by others to be used by God. He sees every act of love, every willing heart, and every moment of obedience.

My prayer is that the families we served felt the love of Jesus in every interaction and that the seeds planted this weekend continue to grow long after the retreat has ended.
