Today we celebrate you, Michael David. You’re my favorite person to laugh with, annoy, make memories with and constantly remind that while you were 10- I was fresh out of the womb and in diapers. I had always wanted a puppy of my own. I begged and begged and begged my Dad. Then, Mom begged and begged and begged my Dad. Finally, he gave her the go. After my high school graduation, Mom and Dad gifted me a dog bed and dog toys….. but there was no dog. I thought it was a joke. Mom had tears in her eyes when she told me that I could go and pick out a puppy. Two days later, Mom and I went puppy shopping. I remember sitting at a traffic light trying to pick out a name- scrolling through (what was “original” in 2014) a list of boy dog names. I turned to Mom and asked “Can I name him Cooper?” This fluffy, blonde little guy came home with us that day.

Today, our Cooper crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. He had his family and his puppy brothers by his side. Cooper will always hold a very special place in our hearts. I hope he plays with his green ball, runs around and has all of his favorite treats in Doggie Heaven. We will miss you like hell, Cooper, Coop, Bean Bean, Cooper Napoleon, Coo Nap, Coop Scoop. 🩵🌈 taken in Rainbow Bridge by @k.halp

Get yourself a Michael, just not MY Michael. So thankful for this man and all of his support, day in and day out; whether it’s coming to support me for a work event, supporting my fitness journey, supporting my students, and everything in between. He’s always being willing to go along with my ideas and being down for all the WPS I want to do. 😂 The man makes me want to rip my hair out some days, but even when I’m bald because he drove me nuts, I’ll still forever appreciate him for all he does for me, for us, for Bubba and for Butters. 🤍 by @k.halp

Progress isn’t a straight line—it’s messy, slow, and sometimes feels like you’re going backward. The hard days? The tired workouts? The ones where nothing feels strong or easy? Those are the days that matter most.

Showing up anyway. Pushing through anyway. Trusting the process even when it’s not giving instant results.
