This is gonna be a long one, so bear with me:

Four years ago Kendra and I were the only girl wrestlers. We practiced in the grade school gym on two stiff mats separated from the boys in the school’s fear that being in the room with them would be “too hard.” Now, our senior year, we have had six wonderful girls practicing in our wrestling room that will be decorated with Rossville’s first wrestling team state championship.

Few words can describe how I feel, but I’m still going to try:

To Maddie, never think that you could have worked harder. It’s alright to be upset that you didn’t place, but without you we wouldn’t be a state champion team. Don’t let anyone take those two massive wins away from you. You have three more years of hard work ahead of you, and I’m excited to see what you do. Continue learning. Continue growing. It’s your turn to take our mantle now.

To Hailey, seeing you succeed makes me randomly feel the need to cry. I cannot believe I have only known you for a year, but without a doubt I can confidently say you are one of my best friends. You make hardest of days (and practices)better. You radiate positivity like no other. Go have a great softball season, and keep your head up, champ.

To Kendra, to think that yesterday was our last time warming up as partners, being in tournament together, griping at the other when we’re hangry before weigh-ins, and my last time wrestling with you. I don’t think I would have fallen in love with this sport without you. So while I don’t have to say goodbye to wrestling just yet, I hate that I have to say goodbye to you. So goodbye Kendra, I know the things you do will be great.

To me, life doesn’t always go how you want it to. Sometimes it throws you into an old grade school gym with falling apart mats. Do what you can with what you have, and I know you’ll find that room of champions. by @k.louiselacock

Had my last Academy show ever. I am so lucky to have met so many wonderful people who love telling the story as much as me. Finding Nemo was one of my favorite shows and Crush is probably my favorite role I’ve played (Cruella is a close second). Thank you so much to everyone who has come to watch my shows the past few years. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the academy kids grow, I love y’all so much!

I had the honor of Coaching in the Heartland Duals last weekend and have had a great season of Officiating folk style!

A medical redshirt is never a fun way to end a season, but I’ve loved learning to be apart of this sport in new ways.
