Designing in a strong context doesn’t mean reproducing its most familiar visual codes.
For Alpine Chalet, the connection to the mountains comes through material weight, warmth and scale rather than decoration. Timber and stone establish the architecture, while softer forms and textiles bring a different layer to the space.

Choosing a material is only the beginning. Its character comes from what surrounds it — daylight, neighbouring surfaces, scale and proportion. The same stone or wood can take on a completely different character depending on the context.

Designing an interior often reveals what is missing from the existing furniture market.

A particular scale, proportion or way of sitting can become the starting point for a new piece. Aro Chair is one of the objects that grew from this process.

Not every element in an interior needs to ask for attention.
Often, it’s the quieter decisions — how materials meet, proportions relate and details repeat — that make different spaces feel connected.

Every material has its own character, but the way they meet defines the space. Warm oak, expressive marble and soft light come together to create a space with a calm, timeless atmosphere.

A coffee table rarely exists on its own. It becomes part of the dialogue between architecture, furniture and materials. Alpine Coffee Table is designed to bring these elements together, with a choice of tabletop finishes that allows it to adapt naturally to the character of each interior.
