When my boyfriend and I first started seeing each other, we were laying in his bed and I had my top off. He pointed at my chest and asked “Are those stretch marks?”. I sorta cringed and said “Yes. but you know, they’re old!” Trying to explain away something that needed no explanation. He replied that they’re cool, “like lightning; like a river” while searching and stretching my skin, trying to find more.
While none of my previous partners have been outwardly rude about my body, none have been necessarily proud of it. Let alone talk about the beauty of my “imperfections”. My body is beautiful because nature is beautiful. And my body is simply nature. by @k0in.o
