This is a message that has been on my heart for the longest. I’ve never known how to express it. I may not have the largest platform, but I’m hoping this message can reach at least one person that needs it. Nearly 4 in 10 (39.3%) of adults have symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. Which may seem like a number to a lot of you, but to the ones struggling it means much more. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety along with emotional problems. However the reason I say this is I want to share my story a little bit on after I was diagnosed. These past few months could’ve went the complete other direction after my diagnosis. Instead these past few months have been some of the most beneficial for my health and for my future. I just finished a trip with the ODP National team for the second year in a row traveling to Costa Rica. Last high school season I had problems on and off the field which led to me being put off of the team. However I understood that these coach’s wanted nothing but the best so I returned to the team. With a completely different mindset after my diagnosis and treatment. I also have been invited to play in Ireland for the Steven Gerrard Academy a life changing experience. I don’t tell you this to brag it in your face, but to the people fighting silent battles. Just know it doesn’t control you or define you as a human. I guarantee you most of the people reading this didn’t know I struggled with the problems I do because I don’t let it beat me. I promise you can beat it. Whatever it is.

Also thank you to the ODP program for everything over the past multiple years. #puravida #5guy NEVER BE ASHAMED TO BE WHO YOU ARE. taken in San José, Costa Rica by @k1pper_
