Playing the game of baseball taught me plenty lessons that I carry with me still. Jungleball is an overhand fast pitch variation of the game..

The God of war only blesses hitters!

Travis LaFrance, one of the nations top baseball recruits, is eager to begin his senior season as he has the weight of the community on his shoulders. He is soon accompanied by chaos and adversity, but is the pressure too much for the star to overcome? With plenty of off the field distractions and the attack on his community, education, and future, Travis has to lean upon faith to remain in the game.

Coming from the Inner city, based out of New Orleans, Jungle Ball is a different variation of baseball that carries on the rich culture and legacy of negro baseball and the Black American community. The rich atmosphere filled with local fans, djs, cookouts and more, emphasizes the powerful impact of the game of baseball. This story also highlights the stark socioeconomic issues faced by children within the inner city school system.

Very Excited to announce my first novel JungleBall. This book was inspired by my connection to baseball, my experiences as an educator, and my personal experiences within the system. Growing up in the vibrant culture of New Orleans shaped my perspective, and I wanted to tell a story that reflects both the beauty and the challenges I’ve lived through.
