🩸 HALL’s official HALLoween party 🩸 31.10 Saturday

Ｙｏｕ　ａｒｅ　ｎｏｔ　ｇｏｉｎｇ
ｔｏ　ｓｌｅｅｐ　ｆｏｒ　ａ
ｗｅｅｋ．．．ａｔ　ｌｅａｓｔ！

Once a year, when the moon hangs high enough, a portal opens somewhere inside HALL.

Strange creatures begin crawling out of dark corners. Witches descend from the rafters. Cowboys return from the underworld. Fairies lose their wings somewhere around the dancefloor and creatures without names wander freely between worlds.

By midnight, the spell has already been cast & HALLoween has taken over.

So polish your fangs, dust off your wings, sharpen your horns and wear whatever form you wish to take for the night.

Mortals, monsters, angels, demons and things we haven’t discovered yet are all welcome.

Just remember: once you enter the spell, there is no promise you’ll leave it unchanged.

Dance till death! 🩸

Next week! A two-day workshop series, “How to Queer Movement,” which explores the impact of LGBT+ individuals and queer culture on dance history and contemporary movement art.

Led by Rene Köster, the event takes place during the closing week of Club Hungr, offering a chance to come together, broaden our horizons, and experience this meaningful space for the last few times through dance and movement.

Schedule:
October 7: History class and discussion
19:00 - 20:30 A lecture-discussion on the role of queer culture in dance history. We will explore how queer communities have historically created and preserved movement traditions that have often been left out of mainstream dance history narratives.

October 8: Movement workshop
19:00 - 21:00 A physical movement workshop based on contemporary movement and improvisation, infused with principles and forms of expression that have emerged specifically from LGBT+ dance and club culture. This is an opportunity to explore and embody the different layers of queer movement on a practical level.

Location: Club Hungr, Peetri 6, Tallinn
Participation: Free!
Open to everyone, no previous dance experience needed!
The workshops are funded by Cultural Endowment of Estonia taken in HUNGR by @k6sterx

the time has come, for our final goodbye
welcome everyone to the grand sendoff & closing weekend of our baby hungr!

this ain’t no funeral though… it’s a celebration of good times we’ve had, all the lessons we’ve learned, all the culture we’ve watered, all the talent we’ve gathered. we are incredibly proud of our baby hungr, the community that has grown from within and the impact hungr has had on our small but beautiful scene.

as we said in our closing announcement - life for an independent alternative venue in tallinn doesn’t come cheap or without some heavy financial hardships.
in full transparency, through these 4 years of keeping the venue running and putting on events, we have amounted a considerable chunk of money lost (from loans, our personal wallets, favors etc) and would love to at the very least, close this project without any personal dept.

so if hungr has touched your life and given you amazing memories, experiences - this is a chance to give a little back 💞
we greatly appreciate any contribution to hungr’s final goodbye with your time, your talent or financial support.

that said, here’s the closing weekend plans!

Safara Highlights: Kxster ( Live)

Kxster is a queer electronic music producer, dj, venue owner and performing artist from Tallinn with releases on Estonian label Trash Can Dance (RSKSD) and American alternative label Crash Symbols (Masc). Their latest album, released under Shelter - “plushviolence” seamlessly blends sultry, dark electronics with IDM, breaks and gritty vocals. Their live sets are always high energy - raved out tunes mixed with gloomy emo vocals and a bunch of screaming and of course keeping it queer af!
