A Summer in Chicago 🏙️

I had the incredible opportunity to move to Chicago for the summer to follow an absolute DREAM job at the Field Museum (my favorite place EVER)!!

I met some incredible people, saw many behind-the-scenes secrets, explored the beautiful city of Chicago, worked very hard with some very fun kids, made connections, attended festivals, and had a BLAST with every moment.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and I hope to be back next summer!!

(Fun fact: the first picture is the view from my summer apartment!)

COLORADO ‘26 🏔️⚒️

For its summer expedition, the Michigan State Geology Club set out west to the wonderful lands of Colorado! What an INCREDIBLE time full of unforgettable memories. To breathe in the mountain air on horseback is something a man could never forget.

Goodbye Sophomore year of MSU!! 🟢⚪️

What a semester!!

A year ago at this time, I could never imagine myself being this happy and full of love. Now, I am overwhelmed with bliss! True, honest bliss. Thank you to my incredible, supportive friends and family for constantly being there and being by my side for these adventures. Rather it be joining me for my first drag show, crafting the entire timeline of the history of Earth in one single night, throwing me into a mosh pit, staring at a random gneiss we found on the side of the road at midnight, acting with me in my fist MSU theatrical production, or what have you; it has all been unforgettable. ☀️ Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind !! ☀️

What an absolutely incredible experience!! My first ever MSU theatre production was extremely fun, hilarious, rewarding, and just downright unforgettable! Coming in here absolutely knowing no one and then leaving with friendships with just the most memorable people makes me feel so honored. Thank you to those that made this journey so fulfilling, to those that came out to support us, and to those that ran our lines with us!

This semester:

From meeting some of the best friends I’ve ever had in my dream class, to falling in love with my foster cat, to surviving my first year in the Spartan Marching Band, to bone hunting with my buddies, to Halloween kisses, to wandering campus after the first snow, to going to a protest to fight for my rights, to eating six Eggo waffles every morning, to going to the theatre with some of my favorite people, to getting my first big crush, to dressing in full lab attire to experiment on simple river water, to loving life in its entirety; I am truly happy and I’m enormously thankful for all the unforgettable moments I shared with others this year. Thank you, everyone ❤️

HALLOWEEKEND!!

What an INCREDIBLE weekend with some unforgettable memories and simply remarkable friends to share them with!! I haven’t been this genuinely happy in oh so long, and boy does it feel GREAT!!

What a year to be eighteen.

I’ve gained so much: what it means to trust, meaningful friendships, life lessons, and how to be a better person. There was some really bad moments, but also some incredibly good moments, and I’m thankful for every second of it all because it truly made me stronger in the end.
