48 hours of embracing the arctic.
• After spending the evening at the base of Aoraki / Mt Cook, we ventured for our next expedition on a glacier.
• We had the opportunity to explore a remote area on the Tasman Glacier by being dropped off via helicopter.
• Our guide, Matt, was a hoot & made sure we had every opportunity to hike and explore New Zealand'a longest glacier.
• After we were brought back, we decided to take an impromptu trip South to explore around the western coast.
• I was in my glory getting to spend time with the penguin colony and learning about all the conservation efforts Oamaru has taken to save the blue penguin colony.
• To much of our surprise after spending time with the penguins, we had excellent live entertainment on the coast with fur seals😂

Little snapshot of the start of our trip halfway around the world.
• After 30+ hours of travel, we settled into Queenstown.
• We later headed to Fiordland National Park and quickly understood why this National Park is considered the 8th Wonder of the World.
• Had the opportunity to kayak AND jump into the sound. After embarking on these adventures our nature guide THEN reminded us how common it is to encounter seals, penguins, dolphins, and sharks.
• Our ship brought us out to the Tasman Sea and experience firsthand how it only comes second to Drake's Passage in roughest waters due to its unpredictability and dangerous waves.

I would also like to express all my love and gratitude to each person who has wished me a Happy Birthday. I promise I will respond and get back to each of you when I am no longer 17 hours and halfway around the world.

Windy City hitting the HOTTEST day of the year, but my gosh, was it the experience of a lifetime. Thank you to our family & friends who braved the heat wave to celebrate our forever. A weekend we will never forget 🤍

📍 Channel Islands National Park
• Explored the marine life on Santa Cruz Island by kayak in the Pacific Ocean
• Conquered my deep fear of caves by the best coach (Zack)
• Didn't flip our kayak in the ocean & stood only a couple feet from fur seals & sea lions

📍 Pinnacles National Park (over a month late)
• After a 3+ hour flight delay, my sister, Zack, I decided to explore this park... however adventure remained limited due to starting at the trailhead during peak heat (over 100+ degrees) to ascend up the mountain, the trip was cut short due to heat exhaustion striking me... turns out after 3 hour flight delay + 4 hour flight + 2.5 hour drive are NOT ideal ways to start an adventure 😮‍💨🤷‍♀️ taken in Channel Island National Park by @k_muscles

Just shy of two months late, but, too great to not share.

Just a small glimpse of celebrating my beautiful partner in crime... from being a month apart in age, to the honor of being her koumbara... this experience was an honor that I will never forget.

The mainland held lots of memories from Thania & Sam's beautiful day to exploring around the ancient ruins at the Temple of Poseidon, and hiking miles to AND up the Acropolis in the dead heat of summer... first trip to the motherland is one for the books 🤍 taken in Athens Greece - Αθήνα Ελλάδα by @k_muscles

After 12 hours of travel and a missing checked bag,
We had the chance to kick off our trip with:
• Clear waters in the Aegean Sea
• Cliff jumping
• New friends across the world
• Incredible eats
• Shopping local so I could change out of my airport attire 🙃
