A little throwback to a favourite fall shawl design of mine - Changeover IV is symmetrical to begin with and changes over seamlessly to be asymmetrical and then changes over to be symmetrical again. Knit only in garter using short row techniques, it changes over stripes, color, triangles, shape and size – basically three versions/triangles in one. The 1st triangle is worked using MC and CC alternatively. The 2nd triangle is worked using only MC and the last and 3rd triangle is worked using CC.

Changeover IV is the last pattern in my ebook “Shawls for Every Season”.  A total of 9 versions of the 4 patterns in the book make up the ebook as follows:  Changeover I – 2 versions, symmetrical and asymmetrical  Changeover II - 3 versions, small symmetrical, medium asymmetrical and large symmetrical.  Changeover III – 1 version  Changeover IV – 3 versions, symmetrical, asymmetrical and symmetrical

Fingering weight or sock weight yarns would work best for this shawl.
Smaller Symmetrical Version: 60” (152cms) x 7” (18cms)  Medium Asymmetrical Version: 73” (185cms) x 10” (25cms)  Larger Symmetrical Version: 90” (228.5cms) x 13.5” (34cms).

Stockinette Glory Blanket-first published Oct 2015
A pattern with texture is a reflection of the balance between different stitches. A stitch such as the stockinette stitch (the grandfather of all stitches) by itself is not, typically, aesthetically appealing although it is very versatile and can be knit vertically, horizontally and diagonally or cabled. But when teamed with its companion, the good old garter stitch, the combination is stunning and the details ornate. This blanket juxtaposes both the stitches resulting in a visually appealing creation and texture.
The pattern can be used to make a bigger baby blanket, an afghan, lapghan or throw.
Size: Approximate width-27” and length-28” after blocking.
Amount of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Yarn to knit a blanket of this size is approximately 8 balls.

When I first laid eyes on @purlsoho Super Easy Baby Blanket, I felt that irresistible spark, the kind that makes your fingers itch for needles. I knew I had to create a version of my own, and what better yarn to showcase it than @koiguwool Kersti Merino Crepe? This DK-weight, 100% merino wool is a dream to knit with soft yet lively, hand-dyed in vibrant colors, and wonderfully springy with a crisp, luxurious feel. It brings every stitch richly to life.

The Pattern
I’ve long been captivated by the beauty of the lateral braid, so much so that I’ve spent long hours experimenting with ways to use it creatively. In this design, the braid becomes a true showpiece. I worked it not only on the right side but also explored its effect on the wrong side, creating a beautifully textured, innovative detail that makes the blanket feel special from every angle.

And since it’s officially blanket season, what better time to settle in with a baby blanket on your needles? This pattern is soothing, striking, and full of delightful surprises, just the kind of project that keeps you inspired from cast-on to bind-off.

First published on Ravelry as “Lattice Throw Blanket”, in November 2018, this blanket pattern has become one of my favorite designs to revisit. Its easy, eye-catching lattice texture looks beautiful on both the right and wrong sides, and this time I transformed it into a cozy 26” x 26” baby blanket, finishing it with a simple mitered garter stitch border all around. Knit with sumptuously soft super-bulky yarn, it’s warm, comforting, and an absolute joy on the needles.

After a long hiatus, with a clearer mind and a refreshed sense of creativity, I’m returning to the craft I’ve always loved.
My first design is this scarf, which explores variations of the “gull” or “gull cable” stitch, a set of cross-overs that can be worked either by dropping stitches (intentionally!) or by using a traditional cable needle, so you can choose the method that suits your comfort level and experience.
I’m so grateful to my test knitters who are hard at work on it.

The scarf is designed with @purlsoho’s light worsted/DK-weight yarn, celebrated for its luxurious softness, lovely bloom (or halo), and dependable durability.

Yarn: Knit Picks Capra DK yarn, 85% Fine Merino Wool, 15% Cashmere, 50gms, 123 yds, Color: Platinum. 2 balls.

Needles Size: Size 7 (4.5mm) 16 inches circular (cir). Use Size 6 (4mm) for the brim if you want the brim snug.
