📻chapter III: the beloved thing lives in shared spaces 📻

i'm looking forward to exchange with my dearest friend and co-conspirator @ka_raba for another edition of 'an archive of beloved things'. 💟

Operating at the intersection of club culture and radical sonic architecture, KA-RABA is a Swiss-based sound auteur, DJ, cultural consultant, and the visionary architect of @_weareokra_ . Her practice bridges visceral dancefloor energy with the intellectual precision of an acoustic designer, creating hypnotic, bass-driven environments where Afrofuturism collides with cutting-edge electronic experimentation.

KA-RABA's adaptable sonic footprint spans premier international music landscapes and prestigious art institutions alike—from France’s Transmusicales Festival Rennes, Elysia Basel, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, to Bozar in Brussels, Liste Art Fair Basel, and the Snow League Championship in Laax.
Evolving her practice into creative management and artistic direction, she steers complex, interdisciplinary projects with OKRA, including experimental moving-image installations like the short film "Everyday Blackness," commissioned by the Kunstmuseum Basel. Whether behind the decks, managing large-scale cultural projects, or contributing as a strategic advisor and architect of social structures, KA-RABA uses sound as a transformative, architectural tool to alter physical spaces and anchor collective identities.

🔥 CULMINA × Le Castrum ❤️

⚡ Pili Pili Girls
⚡ Face 2 Face #1 : Shifa Ligero × Clara Rosa
⚡ Face 2 Face #2 : KA-RABA × FONCÉ

@pili_pili_girls @shifaligero @lalalaclaire @ka_raba @jean.fonceee

@kalambay.training ) ☕🍞💪

📅 Programme – 8 août
🕚 23h00 — Stryt Parade
(Place Pestalozzi → Sports 5)
🕧 00h30 — Pili Pili Girls
🕜 01h30 — Shifa Ligero × Clara Rosa
🕒 03h00 — KA-RABA × FONCÉ

📅 Programme – 9 août
🕚 10h30 — à Sports 5
pour des croissants et du sports !

On se réjouit de partager cette aventure avec vous. ❤️ taken in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland by @srfbounce

coucou, what a weekend! this is going to be an appreciative one xx
I am super honoured to have played @openairfrauenfeld this year - as mentioned OAFF was my first festival ever when I was 16, I told my strict parents I was on a school excursion lol, so it was surreal to return on a sick stage like la fabrik (🤯🤯) this year as an artist. a big and heartfelt thank you goes to the stellar booking duo @m_a_l_e_f_i @amosjoan thank you for the trust!! 💝
also much love to @sirahnying for having me on the interview with srf and for capturing me just right 🫶🏾 it’s pinned on my page if you wonna check it out.
while going through my camera roll I got a bit sentimental because chaa we came a long way, i’m super grateful for all the opportunities that have been placed in my path, and for my lil sis @gaaceline for always being my best tour support since day 1 ❤️
this weekend is gurtenfestival for enjoyment and supporting @sally.sar.a and @m_a_l_e_f_i playing from the okra roster 💋
and then next stop this saturday at gugus gurte!

Self-adhesive poster and social media assets for this year’s spring/summer season identity for @clubbuero at @rotefabrik
Printed on fluorescent orange-red self-adhesive paper, the poster was cut into a brick shape after printing.

Many thanks to @ka_raba and @lukimuay for the trust and collaboration, and to @steinbruchel for supporting me with the poster production.

As nightlife becomes increasingly predictable, we wanted to create space for the unexpected.

MISMATCH is an experiment whre different worlds of music collide into the same space.
