Happy 31st Birthday to my future husband(!!!!!!!!), the love of my life & the man who brings joy to everyone & everything.

Had a lot of good days recently, but this one was my favorite 🤍 @trentflynn you turned my whole world upside down & have changed me in ways I didn’t know I needed. You challenge me to be better, keep me light on my feet & always laughing, and most importantly, you’ve shown me what it means to choose each other, always.

Considering I didn’t even wait for you to ask the question, I think it’s safe to say I’m looking forward to OFFICIALLY being the next Mrs.Flynn 🤭

Finding freedom, falling in love, family time and celebrating close friends. My intention going into 2023 was a 2 part deal. Let go, and never settle.

The idea of letting go being something I’ve kept close to my heart for several years now, it’s an intention and a value that’s changed who I am and how I think, reminding me to unshackle myself from things/ideas/expectations that don’t belong to me.

The new one for me was the idea of not settling. Being honest with myself in assessing what truly made me feel like the best version of myself. Making clear decisions about what I wanted, what that looked and felt like, and what was required of ME to maintain as much of that feeling/picture as I reasonably could. I have to be honest about the way I feel, but I also have to be intentional about how and when I express that honesty.

Communication is hard, and it’s important. In 2023 I found my voice. I learned to start trusting the part of me that knows deep down exactly what I’m looking for. The part of me that’s willing to be honest even when it’s hard, and the part of me that knows that doing hard things is ultimately the most genuine and loving act of openness you can give yourself AND the people around you. Not only is my “voice” the one that’s willing to communicate externally, but the one that’s willing to take accountability internally.

2023 challenged those intentions, and challenged that voice. I made mistakes along the way, and from every one of those mistakes (or emotional outbursts) I took a valuable lesson. I learned to admit when I’ve fallen short for others or for myself. I learned that communication is more than conversations with others, it’s conversations with myself first and foremost.

From work, to love (in romance, family and friends), this combination of intentions made for one of the most fulfilling and meaningful years of my life. I will always be a work in progress, and I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by people who keep me grounded and teach me about life every single day. They say it’s a real wild ride, so I’m strapped in tight and throwing my hands up high.
