Here’s a quick and simple brownie recipe:

Ingredients:

• ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter (melted)
• 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ⅓ cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon baking powder (optional, for slightly fluffier brownies)
• ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder (if using). Gently fold the mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
5. If desired, stir in chocolate chips or nuts.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
8. Let cool before slicing. Enjoy!
