Some prayers take time. Some dreams require perseverance. And some victories are worth keeping quiet until the universe says it’s time. 🤍

This accomplishment has been my greatest kept secret. Two years ago, I walked across a graduation stage grateful, but quietly carrying the weight of a dream that hadn’t unfolded the way I imagined. Instead of letting that chapter define me, I chose to keep believing, keep showing up, and trust that my story wasn’t over. Today, I’m proud to say I’m graduating with my Master of Science in Nursing. 🎓🤍

A detour is not a denial. Just because life doesn’t go according to your plan doesn’t mean what’s meant for you is out of reach. Sometimes the route changes because you’re being prepared for something even greater. by @kaay.hun

A Masters degree was the destination. Mastering the journey was the accomplishment.

Thank you, Mississippi State University, for taking a chance on me and believing in my potential. Thank you to every professor and preceptor who challenged me, encouraged me, and helped shape me into the nurse I will become. Proud to call myself a MSU alumna and even more proud to be apart of the SECOND cohort of the first and ONLY direct entry MSN program in the state🐾🤍!

“She was powerful not because she wasn’t scared but because she went on so strongly, despite the fear.”

First, I wanna start by thanking God/Spirit for allowing me to get this far. Thank you to all my guides/ancestors for helping God guide me. Special thank you to my guardian angel, my TT, my Rose.. you taught me that the sky is never the limit because there is never a limit on how far I can go and I stuck by that till the end. Without you, I wouldn’t be here, this one is REALLY for YOU, my angel! This journey has been nothing short of a challenge but I have never been more grateful. Throughout my three and a half years at the University of Southern Mississippi, I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people and have had a world full of adventures. Only God truly knows everything that I have faced for this degree. WEEKS full of tears, all nighters, arguments with my family, battles within myself, and so much more but I wouldn’t trade any of my hardships for this moment. I am truly grateful to forever be a GOLDEN Eagle!

To myself,
There are no amount of words that can express how proud I am. Only we truly know and understand what we’ve had to face to get here. Being a first generation college student was truly HUMBLING. Not having true guidance and support in some areas was hard yet I am grateful because it molded us into an exquisite young woman and taught us true responsibility. There were EXTREMELY tough nights where giving up just seemed so much easier but we never did!! Who would’ve thought that the little girl from small ghetto Saginaw would grow into such a strong independent young lady. Though our journey didn’t end how we imagined, I hope that little girl knows she still made herself AND her TT proud if no one else! WE GRADUATING BABYGIRL ITS FINALLY OVER 🥹! BIG CONGRATSSS TO MEEE 🤍!
