괴상한시간이 돌아왔습니다. 이번엔 괴상한 소리에 미친 괴상한 아시아 생(生라이브)음악가들이 들려주는 괴상한소리에 미쳐가는 괴상한 라이브쑈쑈쑈 “생生괴GOii” 입니다. OUT NOW: KADAPAT & Nova Ruth featuring Siko Setyanto — OCEAN CAGE [RAUM008 / SBKT077] LP Vinyl Release Following the live iteration of Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師 during We Travel To Know Our Own Geography at the Venice Biennale, KUBORAUM Editions and SVBKVLT are proud to release Ocean Cage: a collaborative sonic work by Kadapat and Nova Ruth featuring Siko Setyanto. Developed between ritual, mythology and experimental sound practice, Ocean Cage moves through ancestral memory, Noh theatre references, and oceanic imaginaries, dissolving boundaries between sacred and profane, performer and audience, body and spirit. Originally conceived within ASIANDOPEBOYS’ evolving universe, the work brings together Kadapat’s deconstructed gamelan and electronic compositions, Nova Ruth’s haunting vocal presence, and Siko Setyanto’s performative narration. Released jointly by KUBORAUM Editions and SVBKVLT, the LP gatefold edition includes a 16-page booklet featuring an exclusive interview with Kadapat, Nova Ruth and Siko Setyanto reflecting on the origins, mythology and collaborative process behind Ocean Cage. Tianzhuo Chen (aka ASIANDOPEBOYS) & Siko Setyanto present Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師 [7.05, 8.05] For the 2026 edition of We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, Tianzhuo Chen, founder of the multi-disciplinary collective ASIANDOPEBOYS, arrives in Venice for the first time with a new performance created together with Indonesian choreographer Siko Setyanto. Inspired by Noh theatre and rooted in ancestral memory and oceanic mythology, Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師 unfolds as a ritual space where movement and sound become forms of invocation. As Setyanto’s meditative choreography meets the dense live sonic landscape of Nova Ruth and Kadapat, the line between performer and audience gradually blurs, drawing the public into a shared experience suspended between spirituality, trance, and memory. The soundscape will also take shape as a limited-edition deluxe vinyl, co-released by Kuboraum Editions and @svbkvlt on May 15, featuring a gatefold sleeve with a sewn-in 16-page booklet. We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, curated by Kuboraum, is hosted within the public program of the exhibition ‘One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin’ curated by School for Curatorial Studies Venice.
