Thank You Jesus for giving Your life so I could live a changed life.

Within the Ride Nature action-sports ministry is Shred Sisters 💛 a sweet, life-giving community of women who love Jesus and surfing/skating/snowboarding/etc etc. I'm blessed to have been invited to go on mission to Scotland to help launch a Shred Sisters chapter in Aberdeen, and to see how the Lord wants to use me at the skateparks, surf lineups, and everywhere in between.

To make this trip happen July 30-Aug 5, I need to fundraise $3150. The total trip cost is $1650. And because I contract for work, every hour I'm away means time away from the income that covers my monthly bills, which is why I'm also fundraising to cover that gap. It's always humbling to fundraise, but when you know it's not about you and all about sharing the life-saving knowledge of Jesus Christ – even if it's just for the one – it's worth more than anything (especially pride lol). If you feel led to support this mission in support of God's Great Commission, I would be immensely grateful for this resource of money to achieve this objective I've been given from Jesus.

Ever since I surrendered my life to Jesus, the Lord made it clear to me that making Him and His lifesaving knowledge known to others so they can do the same is what we are called to do. With this understanding I’ve always seen my life as a mission field—my family, friends, work place, extracurriculars—anywhere I am is where I can give glory to God because He is worthy.

But I’ve always had this desire to experience an international mission trip where the primary goal is to introduce lost souls to their Savior. In the past, when I was in a good financial place I never felt the call/or saw an opportunity to go. Now that I’m not in a good financial position (lol God) the opportunity and call has never felt more clear to go to Nosara, Costa Rica. I believe if the support comes it’s an affirmative yes that this is where I’m supposed to go. And if it doesn’t happen then it’s a no.

So here I am. Doing something I never thought I’ve had to do because of how hard I’ve worked my whole life—rely on other people’s resources. This process of asking, raising funds…it’s new and humbling. And normally I would feel vulnerable and embarrassed and it would sting my heart, but it’s not like that because this call I feel to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is REAL. It’s not about me. And if you feel led to support this mission in support of God’s Great Commission, I would be eternally grateful for this indispensable resource of money to achieve this objective I’ve been given from Jesus.

My fundraising goal is $1200.

How it started 👉 How it’s going…

2019: This is what freedom really feels like! Everything about God is free and sets free. I just want to know more about Him.

2020: His Word is truth and life. No doubt.

2021: He broke me to bring me closer to Him. It hurt, but it was for my good to grow, for better.

2022: He changed how I see, hear, where I go, what I want to do, how I want to live, who I want to be.

2023: He took away things I trusted in more than Him, and He was there–faithful and true, increasing my trust and faith in Him more than ever before.

2024: He’s stretching me further, and showing me more and more His character and who He is: Gentle, Gracious, Faithful, Great, Good, Worthy. Love.

In this choose-your-own-adventure life we live, we can choose our way or trust in Yahweh. The One who was and is the Author of life from the beginning to the end. I trust in His way for my life, and as long as I have His breath in my lungs, I will follow His every Word.

I don’t post often but when I do it’s about Jesus and @jonas_draws art. 🙌

If you don’t know, Jonas is a gem. Not only is his art a treasure to own but he hasn’t ceased to make me feel special with every experience. From working with my mom @mom_of_moogoo to personalize his favorite art piece for my 33rd birthday, to sending me my traditional calendar from his personal stash AFTER it already sold out because I forgot to snag one sooner…to blessing me ABUNDANTLY with this year’s calendar—To say I’m a big fan is an understatement. ✨4 years today✨having a relationship with my Best Friend, my Rock, my Hope, my Savior; the One who never disappoints, will never leave, is Faithful and True.

Still the best decision I’ve made in my life. It hasn’t been easy—heart work is hard—but it’s always worth it. And as long as I have breath in my lungs I know we’re not done yet.

Last night was different.

My passion for music in life and career has given me opportunity to see so. many. artists and legends–it makes me feel spoiled to say so. Yet, I never would have imagined a faith-based concert even existed, or that I’d be at one. Even 2 1/2 years after I decided to follow Jesus, get to know His Word and live it for real.

Doesn’t mean my life changed over night 2 1/2 years ago. Especially living in San Francisco and working in the ad industry where every and any social engagement surrounds alcohol. But the more I leaned in the more God led. When I was still partying till 2 a.m. before church God opened the door for me to teach kindergartners at Sunday school, which gave me a desire to be accountable in front of those kids. No more going out on the weekends turned into more easily saying no to going out during the week. This led to a feeling of joy in staying clear-minded without the fog, numbing, or blurred judgement at any time. Day by day, the more I’ve been putting my trust in Him, the more He opens doors that lead me to freedom and what living really feels like. Especially through the pain and struggle where I count each experience a blessing because I learn why He says be diligent with your heart or why to not point your feet toward temptation or why this and that. I guess we all touch the stove and get burned before we learn to just listen and trust why it’s for our best.

After 2 1/2 years He’s still changing my heart and last night I realized how much He has changed my life. Best decision I’ve ever made was to let Him. Now I’m walking to a whole new beat in a world of music I’m excited to explore. If you’ve made it this far and have faith-based music/artists you love please let me know in the comments below!
