today is my birthday ⊹₊⋆☽

i am 31 years old

it’s been 2 years of therapy, healing, finishing college, paying my dues, and building stability

i’ve been focusing on the future of this project, my artistic vision, and writing new music

i finally feel close to the finish line

if you made it this far
thank you for sticking around
couldn’t do this without you

today is my 30th birthday!

it's been a while, but i promise ive been putting my all into making something of this life

it's been over a year since i last checked in, and since we talked last my life has changed a lot

earlier this year, i released a dream collab with two of my best friends, and my magnum opus "angel fire" w/ @ekalimusic and the ever so talented @chloevjobin on @awakeninglabel

i released a single on @awakeninglabel titled "tlk2me" on the inaugural awakening compilation

we finally after 3 years, released "shut it down" with @anoxex cross platform via the @subcarbon loud speaker 3 compilation
i met my best friend, the love of my life, and the most incredible and genuine woman i could ever ask for, we raised two cats together (ghost and cora) and i remembered what it feels like to have a family of my own

listen, i know i've been distant, and i know im hard to get ahold of, but for the first time in my life, i've learned to stop people pleasing, i've started putting myself first, and have boundaries that allow me to focus on building a life i can be proud of and most importantly, boundaries that allow me to heal

so, to all of you who have given me so much love support and acceptance over the years, through all the highs and lows of my life, know that i see you, know that i love you, and i will always love you! those of you who have been true friends through all the trials life has thrown at me, will always have a place in my heart and a place in my life

im not going anywhere, ill be coming around more, so ill see you soon

-joe

THEY/THEM a collaboration w/ @trissfullydoneup and @mauricioguidini (continue reading)

we wanted to capture a story here about how pride and being queer doesn't always look the way you expect it too

the whole foundation of pride is embracing what makes you different, but over time we've built stereotypes that place queer people back into boxes, and we wanted to take a step towards breaking those stereotypes down
