this is not my usual kind of post but i think its important. this is "Bear" (yes i got permission to record). i met him a week ago when i saw him playing his guitar but my local grocery outlet, i had stopped and offered him a panini and he had thanked me for kindly for my kindness that today when i saw him again i felt the urge to stop. i found $5 in my car console, parked my car, and went to sit in the grass next to him. for a while i just listened to him play, he is beautifully talented despite his guitar going out of tune every few minutes. when he stopped to tune his guitar, i asked him a question that i've been thinking about and i think everyone things about. "how do you find purpose in life?" and his answer kind of stuck with me. he went on to tell me that life isn't always about finding purpose, because everyone has purpose. if a tree has purpose, and its to create oxygen for us to breath, humans must have purpose too. and sometimes our purpose isn't centered around ourselves, our purpose sometimes is to help others with their purpose. life isn't always about purpose, its about the little things that make you happy. find something that makes you happy, and do it. when i asked him about motivation, he told me to surround myself with people that have fire. people who have that desire to be something similar to what you wanna be. and after our conversation i continued to watch him for a while before saying goodbye. but as i watched him i realized just how happy he was to be on the corner playing his music. he wasn't homeless, but he had found what makes him happy and kept doing it. which i think is something to admire :) by @kadezylstra
