Your fire is not my fire. 🔥 And honestly, that’s a lesson I’m still learning.

Nearly 20 years ago, I was the girl walking into Kevin’s HR office with all my workplace drama.

Fast-forward to today, and we’re both sitting on the other side of those conversations. Talk about a full-circle moment. ☕️

One of the things I love most about talking with Lincoln is how honestly he processes life.

Years ago on this podcast, he opened up about losing his first dad. This time, I asked him if anything since then had felt especially hard. He shared what it was like when his family’s shop burned down—and how it felt to lose pieces of their history along with it.

Kids understand grief, change, and resilience in ways we sometimes underestimate. There’s so much we can learn when we give them space to share and really listen.

Nike + Nordstrom know how to make a girl feel part of the team. 🥹🤍

Every little detail—from the personalized touches to the gifts and warm welcome—felt so thoughtful. We were absolutely spoiled, but what stayed with me most was how special and connected they made us feel. One big team getting ready for the Nike After Dark Tour this October. ✨

This night was also a little full-circle moment. Nordstrom was my very first retail job, and Nike was one of my first favorite brands to wear. I’ve been running since I was a little girl—on the track, cross-country courses, and soccer fields. That little athlete in me was very happy to be in this room.

And somehow, the event landed on the same week I am interviewing a former Nordstrom coworker for an episode this month on Coffee & Crystals podcast. A little extra magic. ✨

Thank you, Nike + Nordstrom, for making us feel so celebrated. Summer 2023, at the beginning of one of the hardest seasons of my life, I crossed paths with Hannah. I had just lost my job, my partner had gone to rehab, and I knew I needed something healthy and a community to lean on. @weho.runclub

We laughed about how much we both hated running… and then she casually told me to come try this new run club she had started.

Wait, what? Good one.
Nope. She was serious.

At the time, I was selling a mushroom drink as one of my many side hustles, so Hannah let me bring it to run club. There I was dragging a big-ass cooler to the Fairfax Highschool having no idea this little club — or this girl — would become such a big part of my life.

Because that’s what showing up for yourself can do. You think you’re showing up for a workout, but sometimes you find friendships and a community that change your life.

From running together to showing up to the 2024 Halloween party convinced NO ONE would recognize us in our costumes and dancing the night away — our friendship became so much bigger than run club.
Now, three years later, we get to send Hannah off with WeHo Run Club x @nike After Dark Tour.

Because OF COURSE Hannah would make us run 13.1 miles before her going-away party.

I used to wear overworking like a badge of honor.

Work harder. Do more. Prove yourself. Keep going.

Which is always a little funny to me because, on the flip side, I’ve had people ask me, “Do you even work?” or joke that I never work. 😂

And honestly, I get it. Social media shows the podcast, the coffee shops, yoga, travel, running, events… not always the hours behind building the things that created that life.

For a long time, I thought my ability to constantly work was just ambition. Looking back, some of it was. And some of it was survival.

That work ethic helped me build a career, businesses, a podcast and a life I’m proud of. But success looks different to me now.

Less proving. More alignment.
Still ambitious as hell.

Almost 5 years into Coffee & Crystals, I’m reintroducing myself — and telling more of the story behind the story. 🎙️✨
