Can’t believe I got to play on the @opry stage for the second time this summer!! So special to see my grandparents in the front, mom and bestie in the back, and my buddy @makennabudkemusic surprising me with these photos🥹

Well that’s a wrap on my very first tour!!!

The day before I was called, I’d decided I was gonna spend too much money on a course to learn sales. Thank goodness Josh called before I couldn’t get my money back.

This experience felt like ultimate course correction—bringing me from the side excursion back onto the main path. My musical soul is so, so full.

Thank you to every person who came up and talked to me after the shows—you all were so amazing and kind to me. I realized that all of you have the pictures we took and I don’t have any😂 But I see you and loved meeting every single one of you.

Thank you Caitlynne, her family, and team for giving me such an incredible opportunity🙌 I will remember and cherish it forever.

And thank you to all my people who came out to the shows to support. Y’all showed up!! So many of you surprised me and I just can’t express enough how much it meant to me.

If you were planning on coming to one of the remaining shows, please message me so I can personally thank you!! While I’ve wrapped up my portion, I’m so excited to share the mems over the next few weeks.

Can’t wait to do this foreverrrrrr😍😍😍 taken in Tour Life by @kadiejacobs

11 days ago, I missed a call from my friend @its_sneed . He left a message saying that he put my name in for a gig to play guitar for an artist named @caitlynnecurtis_

I thought there was a mistake because no way I could be getting offered something so cool.

At the end of 2024, I ran into the burnout wall at 90 mph. For the last year and a half, I’ve put music down and I ran away to a farm in Leoma, Tennessee. I found friendship with the donkeys.

The day before Josh called me, I went on a long walk where I decided I was going to start learning about sales to support my marketing job. I’m glad I didn’t buy the sales program. Lol.

I wasn’t sure if I’d recover from burnout. I’ve asked God to take away the desire to do music in my heart over and over again. It’s the hardest way to earn a living. In a world where I can do anything, why must I choose the hardest one? Why must I want this?

I suppose because I get to do this now.

Today, I’m thankful to myself for being brave enough to take the year off. I’m thankful to 21 year old me for working hard and putting myself out there.

This week I’ve learned that when you plant good seeds, you don’t have to hover over them to make sure they grow. You really can go away and rest.

My dad toured. As a little girl, this is really all I’ve ever wanted. As a player, a musician, as a bandmate. I just want to be 65 years old with a drink in my hand and be able to say “Back when I was on the road… ”

Thank you @caitlynnecurtis_ for trusting me. I’m truly honored.

I don’t know how this happened but I’m a full time content creator now. What a happy accident. I wake up every day and think “I don’t know what I’m doing” and “it’s hilarious im here” but I feel equally excited and fulfilled.

Musically. it’s been a challenging stretch. The “why” is foggy right now. But I’m holding out for sunny days ahead.

In the meantime u can find me w the donkeys✌️
