Thought about never even posting anything about it because this genuinely felt so personal for me haha, but little me would be really upset if I didn’t flex a bit. The same little me who learned the mic drop choreo with my sister the first day I ever heard them, who would secretly watch “bts crack” videos in class instead of doing my homework, who used their music as a crutch when I didn’t want to make it through the day, who spent every sleepover with my cousins watching their mvs, who filled her notebook with doodles of bt21s and fanchants, who freaked out when Idol was in the 2018 YouTube rewind, who was shaking with excitement as she waited for the map of the soul album to drop, who was inconsolable when that tour was canceled, who kept the bag from her bts meal and lost it when her niece broke open the sauces, who got teased by her friends for wearing her love yourself jacket every other day, who has had bts on her Spotify wrapped since she got her account, who forced her friends to play kpop on aux even if just for a little, who sobbed on the floor for a couple hours after discovering her albums got water damaged, who chose stay gold for her graduation song, who rewrote Butterfly on the middle school dance song request list because someone had marked it out- and who screamed at the top of her lungs when it played after Namjoon said, “Texas, spin that shit.” As corny as it all sounds, nobody could truly understand the capacity at which I love and cherish this group. I could never express my gratitude for this experience, especially to my friend who took me, had to deal with me screaming in their ear and explaining every reference during the concert, and then paid for a beautiful breakfast in the morning. I couldn’t pay you back with all the money in the world, so I hope a Whataburger meal was enough. It still feels unreal that I got to see the people I’ve admired and treasured for so long. So- this is for every shooting star, birthday candle, fallen eyelash, coin thrown into a well, dandelion, and 11:11 that have all shared the same wish for the past eight years. It finally came true- yay ! Anyway, alternate caption:
